I remember after Port's intra-club match - they had an article over here focusing on Rodan's great form...one line was something like "Rodan broke through the kids tackles with his great strength and power"

Just start getting concerned if you don't.

Like someone said, won't ever be a premiership player, but he will excite some Power supporters prior to them strangling him.

Anyway, good luck to the lad. Top young bloke and deserves a bit of luck, and I'll be shouting for him.

All those little exciting cameo moments when he swoops onto the pill, or accelerates away. A couple of little jinks and baulks. Instant cult figure.

In season 2 they will (like us) say "sure there is a lot of sizzle, but where's the sausage". Eventually the excitment won't be enough and there will need to substance. 14-touch games won't cut it and he has never shown that he can be a 25-touch rover (unless it is pouring with rain).

And as for the question about whether he will be missed or whether we have someone better? Well I think it has to make sense to see if Nathan Foley can be our rover. Unlikely to squeeze both into the team, and the simple truth is that Foley won that duel fair and square.

I never liked him when he played with you lot. Thought he was a ball hog who tried to do far too much and almost always got caught. Thought he was overhyped because he kicked a goal over his head once.

I dunno...im reserving judgement, but we couldnt have asked him to do much more than what he has done so far. 4 matches, 4 times in the best players. He is built like a brick outhouse, seems to be reasonably pacey to me and his skills have been excellent so far.

Theres been plenty of March heroes before so it will be interesting to see how he goes when the real stuff starts.

sadly he was always like that in the pre-season but i hope he turns it around in the season proper

spent 5yrs on our list that was 1 or 2 yrs too many. rodan plays as an outside player when he has the attributes to play as an inside player. will not make it unless he can reinvent himself.
one things for sure we did the right thing getting rid of him even if he turns into a star. you can only persevere with underachievers for so long 42 on a list dictates this.
lets keep on turning them over until we find players who can perform for us.
