It's interesting how this seems to be the case at international level but not at state level where team management are happy with his training and work ethic. He certainly has not been given the same opportunities like Hughes has for example.

It does suggest though, that maybe Warner should be given a few more series before he is well and truly judged.

Test cricket is a tough gig that very few players warm to instantly. The important thing for Warner will be showing continued signs of progression. India was a step backwards (as it often is to young batsmen), but he has the Ashes to show us his development.

He is one of their better batsmen so getting rid of him over this would be pretty dumb in itself.
