Just as a contrast to those saying we need to play hard:

Adelaide could have traded Tippet for pick 12 and an end of first rounder

Instead, despite his obvious value, he managed to get to Sydney with the 11th pick in the PSD - no-one else was willing to pull the trigger

We did the same thing with Ball - he slid to 30 because everyone knew he only wanted to go to one place

While the idea of walking away and refusing 'unders' seems appealing, a top 5 pick and a sweetener is a lot to throw away to prove a point, when the alternative is literally nothing for him

A lot of moving parts, but I wouldn't be wholly unsatisfied.

If Beams had acted like a man and attended the Copeland then the deal would probably already be done, but ignoring the Copeland and his team mates to be a pr!ck has soured (to say the least ) many supporters opinion of him (going from a perennial favorite to one of the most hated - second only to Thomas who went to the enemy).

My business sense tells me we should take what we can get and shun the little pr!ck but my anger goads me towards playing hardball.

But I dont think greenwood will get done with your second round, he came 2nd in B&F last week.... doggies have apparently offered 2 2nd rounders.... he is a decent player especially if want he is been offerred $$ wise is true, I just thought with all the experience you are loosing he would be no.1 prioirty in middle..

thanks, I was focused on HL on field performance and had forgotten about off field in assessing his value. Will be interesting to see what he and Mitch get - both off field issues, Clark higher ceiling but less consistency.

(I know Pies don't want picks but can at least use them to on trade so if valuable enough then I can see it happening. I think 2 top 10 picks plus a second round upgrade is the closest you will get to fair, with this draft being ok for top 30 or so...

Ideal for you is a 5 + Aish as i think he really suits pies style of play. But with Brisbane not giving you guys anything near reasonable I would shop beams around tbh, as I personally think its probs for $$ as much as it is for family issues.
