The only thing holding murph back is his disposal. Time and time again he turns it over or kicks his famous up and unders. As Mr Healy pointed out he is totally off balance when he kicks. Fix the problem now or he may be another good player not a GREAT!

Dear greg also could u fix

Fisher
Russel
walker
Carrazo kicking

Fisher is the ball drop.

Russell has the golf yips in front of goal, field kicking ok.

Walker is just running to fast, needs to slow down and control.

Carrazzo isn't that bad (before you say it is), its more his decision making on who to kick to, he seems to kick to more contests, which makes it look worse cause the ball most times comes to ground. Against the crows i only counted 1 poor kick, he hit some really good targets.

Not only do I not understand how any AFL player cannot kick a football accurately, but I do not understand how a number 1 draft pick can have problems with his disposal

Fisher is the ball drop.

Think it might be a little more serious than that. He gets no momentum when having a shot on goal, and when he actually kicks the ball, his body is actually going backwards, which see's the ball go left.

He's kind of got a similar technique to Earl Spalding, although Fisher's kicking action isn't quite as awkward as Earl's.

i am glad someone else sees this.....i thought i was the only one. Very shocking action and also is a major reason why 40m out is pretty much his limit at the best of times!!

Cloke's an interesting one.

I remember not all that long ago we were all saying how good his field kicking is, but recently, personally at least, I've been a little nervous when he's had the ball (he's made some bad errors). Just not consistent or something?

Problem with Cloke is he tries to kick the cover off the ball too much and sometimes tries to drill it through blokes chests which looks great when they come off, but more often then not he butchers it. Needs to learn to caress the ball and kick to the advantage of the receiver.

In regards to Cloke, whenever he gets the ball and there isn't a short option on (or sometimes even when there is) he tries to boot the bejesus out of the ball and more often than not it doesn't come off right. I dunno what's up with that but from a forwards perspective surely a 45-50m kick that goes straight 80% of the time would be preferable to kicks that wobble 40m most of the time and sometimes travel 55-60m.

As for Fisher, a 192cm footballer, his kicking for distance is woeful. Doesn't have any momentum at point of contact, doesn't follow through after contact, has a poor ball-drop technique and consequently has increasingly lost confidence in what kicking ability he has. Almost needs to be completely re-worked if he's going to continue as a forward, and therefore AFL footballer. I don't expect him to kick like Fev but surely a shot from 50m should sail through with relative ease..?

If Harvey joins us, then i dont think murph's kciking will be a worry. Harvey's passing is amongst the best in the business. IMO i think the problem with murph's kicking is that he tries to do too much with the footy every time he gets it. Eg. hit up tough leads, 50 metre stabs etc. Needs to find a balance in his options so his confidence remains high when he does go for the tough pass. Although his shooting is a worry.

Murphy's kicking was better last year from memory.
I think he tries to spear it too much.
he should do what judd does- pop it into space- much less margin for error.

as for cloke well i think he has a good kick
totally agree w/ the above post. cloke tries to give the s*** out of every kick!

He remonds me of travis jonstone in this reguard. Tries to get to tricky 4 himself.
