They don't have a defence, at all. Their only key defender ****ed off to Essendon so he could at least be paid bucket loads to be shit. They need to do what Melbourne did and bring in their version of May/Lever.

Yep been saying it since I stopped laughing about that trade, they have a gun midfield and that’s it. You can’t win games with a shithouse backline and a forward line of nick larkey who only takes perfectly delivered lead up marks.

North made the same mistakes as Carlton GWS GCS etc in that they kept picking the best pure midfielders. IMO you can only have 2 or 3 pure midfielders. Finally, they started going after kids like Wardlaw and Sheezel who can player in more than just the midfield but before that they have wasted a lot of picks which is why they have a great midfield but seem to be lacking just about everywhere else.

You can’t win one and back it up with a dynasty without a good spine. If you also get too many A graders in one position team balance deteriorates and it’s harder to get A types to sacrifice their game in optimal structures. If talent wins it alone GWS would have won 5 of the last 10 premierships. You need foot soldiers who are B graders that do the dirty work and are happy to stay in the shadows.

I agree. Their culture literally was some weird “shinboner spirit” crap with low IQ Glen Archer parading around. Like what a pathetic way to rally a club and weird language. They have no culture outside of an inferiority complex. I predict minimal improvement as they moneyballed shit players in like Parker and Darling who will be literally cooked within a year.

Nah, just those 4 for me. Dogs bottom 6, joined by Essendon/Carlton/Dees. Carlton shouldn't be that low but they're getting actually rekt by injuries.
