The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles just can’t catch a break. First they get turned into aliens, and now they’re losing their catchphrase.
Yep. For the reboot of the series, which debuts tomorrow on Nickelodeon, “cowabunga” is out.
What’s it being replaced with?
“Booyakasha.”

The comment for them to stop destroying my childhood memories is right on the money. Bad enough lazy movie studio's rebooting classic movies continually the last decade, or making shit movies based on cartoons, now we add in reboots of classic cartoons.

When I watched the first reboot of the series when I was a kid (the dark and broody batman style one) the writers seemed to love replacing the word "hell" with "shell" it was "what the shell" this and "go to shell" that. So maybe their new catchphrase is "shellabunga"
