FWIW if shehan was to perform his top 50 right now I reckon Lids would be ~23-26...just outside of AA material just yet...If he can build on this form next year, he will be all the rage

At the start of season, l was hoping the Deledio would sort of follow in the same footsteps as Cooney and to some extent, he has almost pased him. Cooney chases posessions a fair bit, where Lids doesnt need to... just reads the play better and get his hands on the pill in more damaging positions.

What l love Lids the most, he's a midfielder that KICKS it. Doesnt rack up numbers by meaningless handballs - ie Hodge. But he has something on Hodge as well in that he is much more competitive when contesting marks.

Very good progress, but just want to pull in a game where he just owns it. Its not far away.

Disagree, the fact that he tried to wrestle Hodge is impressive, and he doesn't need to hit other players in order for him to be better... He can beat Hodge at footy and thats the sport they are playing

The great trick he has to the kitbag for a midfielder is he is an elite mark of the pill...can easily go forward and take a big grab and slot a long goal...he's working toward being a ripping good player

Great game from lids today. With Foley starting out of the centre square he gave us another option. 23 possesions, 2 goals and 2 goal assists. He is starting to become very very good

I asked in the votes thread what his opening odds for the 09 Brownlow would be. Dead set, I might put a few bucks on him - if he keeps going the way he is he will get a few, especially if we start winning more. Unbelievable kick, and just always does the right thing with it. Star.
