I like this.

Other mids also good tackle counts and this is what makes it much easier on our defense when the ball doesn't come in so easy. The scores from centre bounces is what killed us on the scoreboard, and umps, so this is what we need our mids to do each week to give our average defense a much easier job. Richmond's premierships sides defense were fairly average players back there.

Most weeks in the past...like last year it was mostly Xerri doing most of the tackling.

Gold Coast Scums Had every umpiring decision go their way, except the very last. Choke on that 🤣🤣
We had a couple late in the last went our way. Probably not 50/50 even but I'll take it.

Konstanty was brilliant all game. When I looked and saw he only had 12, I was astounded.

He made each disposal count
What stood out to me was he had some big moments - the contested mark that led to Duursma's goal, the ball and all tackle that kept the ball in F50. Together with the goals, excellent contribution

Bloody hell lads. I actually shed a tear at the end of the kayo mini. Been a long time since I've seen a playing group so elated, hope you all feel the same way.

There were tears here on the Final Siren.

Idk wat I will do if I ever dream of that win

LIKES

HUGE HOP

That was the win the Roos have been waiting for, even if they waited for the very last moment to get there.

North Melbourne gave too much leg rope to Gold Coast in the first half and played too loose in the middle to allow the Suns five goals from centre bounces.

But no Roos fan will have cared about that on the train home from Marvel Stadium.

When the Roos got their forward handball going – remarkably they were -4 for handball metres gained halfway through the second term – they took off.

Harry Sheezel and Luke Davies-Uniacke were tireless all game but it was Finn O’Sullivan, George Wardlaw and Cam Zurhaar that took off in the final term.

O’Sullivan tallied up 12 disposals and six score involvements and Wardlaw – quiet for most of the game – was everywhere with 13 disposals, five contested possessions and five score involvements.

That pair stepped up in a huge way when needed.

Zurhaar was flipped forward in the second half after the Roos at one point trailed by as much as 43 points and it proved an Alastair Clarkson master move.

He provided the moving target North did not have for most of the game and had seven disposals himself in the final term, plus that match winning moment.

Before Saturday, the Roos had only beaten teams that sat in the bottom five on the ladder.

Gold Coast off a Darwin trip is not a monster scalp but it is a big moment for a club desperate for them and the Roos will be hoping it is one that can open the door for more.

krakouers I tell ya what. I was worried that the young fellas would be inclined to look elsewhere if we didn’t win that match, then travel to perth and get done twice. I think that celebration at the end where they all jumped in was ****ing HUGE for them
You can't buy that sort of bondage.
