Important Day-After Question: In all your replays of the win are you watching:

a. The whole game
b. Second half only
c. Last quarter only
d. Last 15 minutes
e. Last 5 minutes
f. Zurhaar’s goal & the dogpile celebration on a loop
I was unfortunately out and about all day yesterday, so I had planned to watch the full replay yesterday evening when we got home from dinner. In what I now consider good fortune, the result was spoiled so I ended up waiting until this morning so my son could also watch it. Good fortune not only that we could watch it together, but I am unsure my heart could have taken that not knowing the result; to those of you that did this in real time I salute you.

When Larkey handballed to Spargs, everyone in the Triple M commentary box's face .. I was the same
he's so out of form that even his handballs aren't hitting targets :(

The first half can burn in hell for eternity.

I've watched the whole second half one.

The whole last qtr twice.

The last 2 -5 on loop.

I wonder if Simmo had an agenda by asking that question? It’s almost as if he had some doubts about the competency of the four umpires, or at least in number 41 I suspect.
He was going on about the umpiring all game. Subtle but constant.

Having watching Larkey a fair bit live now sharing the fwd line with Darling and Trem… I genuinely don’t think he knows when, or how to, lead effectively

His default is a sprint into a packed area, and then doubles back wanting it over the back

He could snare at least an additional goal a game if he learned timing
There was some behind the goal footage in the first half of our forward line and even tho he wasn't involved he was making repeat leads all over the joint. You may be right about the when but he gets the rest of it. Tho i haven't seen that from him much this year.

There was a play in the 1st half where larkey was on the HFF. That was the only spot the ball was going as it was a long ball. As the kick was in mid or or just prior he runs towards the middle without even looking at the kicker. Gave up the intercept mark.

One of the stranger things I’ve seen

Just some day after thoughts.

Yesterday was more than a comeback win; it instilled something in the minds of this young group that'll stay with them for the rest of their careers - even if we're down 30-40 points with a quarter left, we're not done.

That come back win against Carlton was nice, but doing it again yesterday against a better side, who were up by even more, who kept answering our responses; it created a moment that our guys won't forget. This win is the type of win that'll sit with the guys who were involved in it for the rest of their careers - they'll look at each other at 3qt breaks when we're down by 5 goals in the future and remember the moment they pulled it back against the Suns when it seemed hopeless.

It could have been so easy to let the Suns answering all our goals mentally defeat it - but we didn't let it. We kept chipping away and then got the win.

Collingwood had this aura about them in 2023 that you were never far enough in front that they couldn't bring it back. Carlton have/had the opposite this year - there wasn't a lead big enough that the opposition couldn't pull back.

Our group now knows that you can be 8 goals up against us, and we're not dead. They'll look each other in the eyes and remember what each other did - they'll remember what a maniac Wardlaw was and how hard he worked, what FOS did with his running and linking up, what LDU did winning the hard ball, the decisions Duursma made, the hard-work Sheezel put in to cover ground and work defensively, the rock that Comben was defensively, the defensive pressure put on by Konstanty. The confidence they took from the way we won is going to be formational for this group.

And that's something that's bloody huge for a young group that's still building habits - knowing you're never dead and knowing that everyone else in the side knows we're not dead, because we've done it before.

I heard five minutes early third quarter in a Paraburdoo shop, then nothing until wild texts next time I was in range. So excited for all of you who were there!

I've long believed Quartermain doesn't like us, and this video did nothing to change my mind.
I thought he was quite balanced. And technically he was right, we took the advantage, ballsed it up, and were lucky to get it called back.

Just need BS to be sacked by * this week and we would have come full circle boom shanka 😍
why would you want BS sacked? he has literally driven them to the bottom of the ladder. we should be barracking for an extension!

So glad a few things fell my way yesterday morning and I was able to get to Marvel to witness that win.

That is a win that could propel us forward as a club.

One negative that needs to be adreessed. Has there been any mention of how selfish that was by Larkey at the end that could have quite possibly cost us the game? He shouldn't be captaining the club.

Apart from that, absolutely loved being a Shinboner yesterday.

Starlink on the roof and you’re never out of range.

Not sure about these calls that we were lucky it wasn’t paid advantage to Larkey. He was chasing a loose ball - he didn’t have possession. The umpire waited to see what happened and then called it back, but that’s what they usually do in those situations. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t dumb by Larkey though, assuming he did hear the whistle.

Larkey didnt actually take advantage as he didn’t kick the ball 😂

Yes, more comentators not knowing the rules. Hopefully this gets talked about on 360 with Razor Ray and he confirms that unless it's a clean possession to the infringed team, there's no possible advantage.
