Great tackle. Anyone saying otherwise is clueless.

Or in the case of Ball, blatantly lying in the name of trying to save face, but judging by the reaction here, it's backfired.Great tackle. Anyone saying otherwise is clueless.

It's especially disappointing as Ball was as hard as a cat's head himself (without being at all a thug) and very courageous. He knows the score on what is over the line and what is not.

Yes, hence saving face or at least attempting to.I'd say he's more towing the company line here than expressing a personal opinion. Clueless either way.
Let's not go too far, Dapper.I'd vote for Pauline for PM before i'd put a vote for Ball to take over the umpiring department.
Never thought one of the toughest players I saw play would turn into such a little lap dog.
Fair call actually.Let's not go too far, Dapper.

You don't get a job of any significance at AFL HQ without your brown nosing and doublespeak credentials being exhaustively vetted. You can tell a person who works at the AFL is willing to spout off the incomprehensible nonsense that Ball just did simply by the fact that they already work there.
At 9:39Where's the ball?
Gaff had the ball in hand at all times. Could see the AFL suggesting a difference based on that..
Just an observation.

Crowd around me were mostly confused about it, no one could work out what it was for. I was sitting in the third tier, a fair way from the tackle and we though we must have missed something off the ball. Actually I think I was also complaining about the stupid handball from Lycett (?).
McEvoy did that to Zeibel a few weeks ago and that was also given a free against for dangerous tackle.

The ball spilled when McEvoy tackled him. And rather than slamming him he held him a bit and then let him go.
He did everything to avoid hurting him. And was pinged.
