Derby viewing in Sydney?

I've had fly to Sydney from Norway and will be in Sydney for when the derby is on. I have the international afl tv subscription but that wont work in Australia so I need to find a pub to watch it! anyone got some hot tips for me? Ill be staying around Surry Hills area. Thanks in advance

Hey mate. The sports bar at star casino is good. Short taxi from surry hills. Plenty of restaurants and plenty of places to celebrate after a big win

The Alexandria Hotel is a decent AFL pub - whether they'll screen the derby I'm not sure. I watched the Hawthorn-Geelong final there when I was over last year for the Sydney-Freo final.

Catch a train/cab to Redfern Station or you can walk, quite close, and the Regent Hotel across the road has Fox footy. Upstairs is empty with a big TV and a lounge area you can bring in food. My brother and I watched the Kardinya carnage in comfort there.

The Cammelia Grove across the road from technology park in Alexandria shows all AFL matches and caters for most Sydney AFL club supporter groups.

I watched most Freo matches from there.
