are the radmat shard/energy ratios basically the same for everyone else? I get pretty much 2 energy for every shard. I have almost exactly twice as many energies.

Yeah I ended up with about double but that didn't matter once my Hunter reached eris level 4

Shards will be useless once you hit 32 with three characters, I'd be saving my energy until hard mode hits, you should have enough shards by then.

yeah that's a good point, although you can swap them back for energy I guess. But like the assmats, once your armour is levelled they become redundant very quickly.

Having never been blessed with the Gjallorhorn I decided very early that it was worth spending energies on maxing out my Hunger of Crota, and I haven't regretted that. Will probably do the same with Light of the Abyss and definitely will with Black Hammer when I eventually get lucky there.

And like VoG, you don't want to hit Hard mode with unlevelled weapons, particularly when the enemies will be higher than you are at the end...

Ruin Wings sounds like just the best exotic. That alone makes me want to start the grind all over and raise a little Titan child

Thunderlord + Ruin Wings destroys on this nightfall

Ruin Wings are pretty awesome when they work. Sometimes you get bugger all heavy and at other times it's everywhere. Great fun wielding a MG like a primary weapon.

Edit: I got it on crota so it was quite a shock. I got 3 shards for killing him, then exit out and the grim card appeared for it (it is strange how that happens on crota)

Just remember, they all have to be equipped at once before anyone is considered 'elite'
