Just an opinion but isn't the option to be more defensive and watch the radar?

I can get why it pisses people off but it forces you to re think strategy doesn't it? And people being on the same level negates all the 'unfairness'?

Haven't played it nowhere near long enough, but as long as its a mostly level playing field, cant see the issue.

ill kinda have to agree with seawind here about supers. supers are kind of a joke in crucible. the feeling of 'there is nothing i could've done about that' *(aka death from a super) is the worst feeling and is a major indictment on destiny's pvp.
*as in literally nothing could have been done.

if it was up to me i would take supers out of all serious pvp(control, clash, elimination, etc.) and keep it for casual gametypes. (the upcoming mayhem mode looks fun.)

I could get behind Trials being no radar no supers.

I get the frustrations somewhat, I lose a bit of patience when people say they are "unbeatable" though.

Personally I actually enjoy duelling someone when they have popped Golden gun, makes you feel awesome if you manage to ruin his super. They keep the game quite exciting.
There is definitely room however for a mode with no supers so people can just rely on their gunplay

yeah but what if someone nova bombs and fists of panics around a corner? its the 'no effort kill' that bugs me. supers are major advantage that you didnt do much to get....
think about like this- when you get killed by heavy you say 'well played' because the player got the advantage by picking up the ammo. imagine if heavy was gifted?
if supers were a map-pick up it wouldnt be so bad because the player earned the advantage.

I guess the rebuttal to that would be, you need to actually perform and help out to get Super energy?

Or maybe a change just needs to be made to limit the amount of supers per game.

thats just playing normally- you didnt do anything special (such as a pick-up) to get that advantage.
besides you can still get supers without doing anything at all!

Good news is that this will likely be my last post in this thread, barring any additional bait.

Hows everyones moments of triumph emblem looking? I still need 7 gold chests.

4 here, didn't know I was that close to be honest.

Cool little reward. Would like them to start introducing unlockables after certain criteria are met in game. Would give completionists a goal, and if they can tie more emblems and shaders to rewards they can make them purchasable from Tess in the Tower, thus alleviating some of the Vault space issue we are having.

Go to profile page, under "triumphs" there is a graphic showing your progress towards their exclusive reward (emblem).

Also new page on Bungie.net entitled "The Armoury". Direct link to the database governing loot in the game apparently. Contains stats and where certain guns can be obtained.

Edit- for those that cant be bothered going there the triumphs needed to get the emblem are-

Reach level 20
Beat Vanilla campaign (destroy black heart)
Stop the summoning of Crotas soul (TDB)
Imprison Skolas (HoW last mission)
Beat crota Hard mode raid
Beat Aetheon hard mode raid
Beat Skolas on 35 PoE
Complete 50 public events
Win 100 Crucible games
Collect all 20 Gold chests

Apparently the crucible part is kill 100 guardians, not 100 wins, which explains why mine is achieved even though i havent even played 100 games
One and the same for me.
