Wondering if anyone heard the interview NC did with KG and Cornesy this afternoon. I only caught it right at the end and they were saying how impressive NC was. Just wondering if NC talked about watts and what were his thoughts about him, as well as what he thinks the list needed. If anyone who aint overseas and actually heard it could you give a quick sum up on what it was basically about it would be appreciated. Thanks

Would I be breaching any copyright laws if I placed that interview on the web where people could download it. I have it in mp3 format.

i wouldnt know to be honest. I doubt they would check places like here for it. If you sold it you might be in a little bit of trouble. ;)

did he have much to say about watts and what he thought of him?

Just that he saw him as part of our future and the club did everything possible to keep him but fergus decided he wants to go so now its up to us we get compensated fairly and that we are probbaly better off without players that don't want to be there.

i'd say thats pretty right james. :thumbsu:

Sorry to butt in but you'd be wrong. Any publishing of a work without permission from the copyright owner - doesn't matter if you sell or not - breaks copyright. Cheers.

considerin you can livestream it from the 5AA website and your not selling it, i dont think it would be breaching
What do you mean by this - last I heard 5AA were not broadcasting over the net and had no intention

Stiffy thanks for that - really appreciated.

And as if 5AA would bother with copryright infringement - has it been affected commercially - no

Its great to hear Neil Craig speak. I feel that everytime he answers a question he is giving it honestly and to the best of his ability. When he doesn't want to answer a question he gives his reasons why. Unlike other coaches he is not out there trying to sell a line as an asnwer. Very Impressive

They are broadcasting over the internet except when the footy is on. For some reason they are not permitted to broadcast football commentary over the internet because it breaches some rules even though they have the rights to broadcast AFL games

As for the file, no worries people glad to be of help :)

News limited owns the broadcasting rights to the AFL.

They on-sold the free to air television rights to the Nine and Ten networks and the Pay TV rights to Foxtel (who is news limited) and sold the Internet rights to Telstra (as well as a joint partner in the news limited family)

So basically 5AA and affiliates can broadcast the games on radio but the signal is relayed to the AFL web site where Telstra sells an Internet membership for supporters to listen, it just protects the Internet rights for Telstra .

Whereas I thought of saccharine and sickly sweet cheesecake and "butter wouldn't melt in my mouth". But he was talking to his infatuees, so no wonder.

That's very impressive Stiffy -- How did you do that?
I'm 5AA wouldn't complain; wouldn't it be greater exposure for them?
I got this little program that records the web streaming (Thanks treeman :)). Basically, I was listening to 5AA on the web and I started recording when the interview and stopped it when it was over. The program allows you to save it in a number of different formats. Its pretty easy to use and you can set a timer on it as well so its starts recording and stops at a particular time :)

BTW, welcome aboard :)

You are correct but the worst possible scenario would be they can ask you to remove it from the website, to claim compensation you have to prove you have lost something from it or they have gained something out of it, neither is the case.

I said it before somewhere, it is illegal to tape or copy anything that is copyright, registered, etc. Doesn't have to be broadcast either, even for personal use.
