Poor Redknob5", don't even know your own clubs history. :o

I see no facts.

Please provide them or go and make childish insults somewhere else.

Thanks.

Yes, Carlton are responsible for all the evil in the AFL, in the world for that matter. That's what I've been trying to tell people all my life.

Carlton = evil

Hang on a minute. Whats with you guys ? This is OUR day. This is kick the EAGLES day. How can you trollops try and take it off us ?

If you really want facts have a quick look through this article.

Just to save you any time hers one section from the article:

"Apart from the tax office fine, the Demons were also punished by the AFL to the tune of $350,000 for salary cap breaches. A further $250,000 fine was suspended for five years.

The club was excluded from the 1999 national draft with its first-round pick going to Fremantle as compensation for the loss of ruckman Jeff White, whose wage, according to the AFL, pushed the Demons over the cap."

Genuine ROFL over this one.

wayne carey : I shagged my mates missus coz carlton made me do it.
Ben Cousins : I got drunk and drove because carlton made me do it
UNDISCLOSED AFL FOOTBALLER : I got wacked on party drugs because Carlton made me do
Nathan Buckley : Carlton made my hammy go in training

FFS carlton have enough sh17 on them without blaming them for mentally deficient morons and random accidents at other clubs.

Indeed. At least we went over the salary cap to overpay the players we had, not to go off and steal players from other clubs. And it gets worse:

While Melbourne paid a $400,000 fine to the Australian Taxation Office in 1999 after more than $1 million in total player payment breaches were uncovered between 1994 and 1998, it is understood the ATO has continued to pursue a number of individuals allegedly involved.

Ever since Carlton showed complete disregard for the rules by cheating the salary cap, incidents in the AFL seem to be popping up more and more regularly. Prior incidents were far less regular.

Drugs, violence, broken friendships, gambling etc. Is it possible that all this can be traced back to the blues actions?

Discuss.
Absolutely correct. Carlton are omnipresent and the world moves in accordance with what is happening around the club. Drought, famine, suicide, genocide, herbicide, asteroids, tsunamis, cyclones, foot fetishes, sexual perversion of all types for that matter, poor fashion sense ..... all attributable to the Carlton Football Club.

Fortunately it goes both ways and were are also responsible for love, wedded bliss, new born babies, cute puppies, krispy kreme donuts, hot showers, cooling rain, flowers, waterfalls, dolphins and scoring with that hot babe next door.

Naturally since Carlton were done for salary cap breaches and punished severely, sado masochism is big in the AFL world and players and clubs are going out of the way to cop a right royal rogering AFL style. Players popping pills like tic tacs, risking life and limb, just to get attention from Mike Sheehan. Players putting their hard earned down on scoreless draws between other teams so Andy D will show them the disclipline lacking from their childhoods.

Some of these actions actions are extreme but the link can be established. As surely as Carlton were bent over and r*ped by the AFL, the latent desire to recreate those actions have sent some players along the same path.

Where will this madness end? Carlton are bigger than the game itself and every action forces an equal and opposite reaction. They must be stopped!

I guess this is about the time I mention the glass houses and people that live in them thing..........................your beloved Demons were about a million, give or take loose change, over the cap you moron

My theory of Carlton actually like that movie The Butterfly Effect. I mean, lets look at my theory from the 2005. Carlton won the NAB off the back of Fevola's diving. The effect of the butterfly is magical, and the mighty Swans won the flag by playing magical footy and took home the Cup in September '05. The Blues narrowly avoided the spoon with thanks to one Mr. B Fevola diving and flaying his arms about like cyclone tracy.

Now stay with me, once again in 2007, Carlton won the NAB after Fevola's diving. Now if my theory is correct, the Blues will hopefully win another spoon, and the mighty Swans, on the back of giving the Blues the mother of all hidings in Round 15, will dominate 2007 and once again hold the mighty cup aloft while our song revererates around the "G".

You can apply my theory to Carlton's other hilarious mishaps throughout the decades that left you with tears (of laughter) in your eyes:)

The bigger question is how this thread, with such a crap opening post, could last so long on the BF main board.

Because it's not crap. It's a theory based on some factual evidence.

Just because you don't like the theory....pffft.

Since you seem to like facts so much:
Melbourne's last premiership: 1964. How's it feel not to have seen a Melbourne premiership in your life?

I was alive for the Demons' flag in 1964, I think I may be one up on RedLegs#5 there. ;)
