OUT: Gumbleton (hand?), Stanton (hamstring), Dell'Olio (omitted), Hardingham (omitted), Fletcher (rest)
IN: Hurley, Lonergan, Colyer, Pears, Hooker

May as well give Crameri another week on the sidelines. If we are to scrape into the finals, we need him at 110% to have any chance.

Have no idea - Too many questions over the status of players - Gumby/Stants/Davey - Are they injured ?

What about Hooker was he injured/dropped.

Crameri/Myers - minor injuries or not ?

Think they will bite the bullet with Hurley - 3 weeks out - Nothing to lose.

I've been chucking him in there for around half the season, and have now given up.

I think we must come to accept they love him roaming around doing sweet FA.

I haven't had him there all year. But we're starting to get some bodies back now. There's no room to carry payers anymore.

Ben

We have been carrying Melksham for half the season - And we had more options eight weeks ago.

No, we haven't.

Melksham doesn't have AFL fitness to fulfill his role in the team - And this caused the TRB to giving him stints at HF/HB.

It's not about possessions.

It is virtually impossible to call.

We could end up as close to full strength on paper as we have been all year (with the inclusion of Hurley, Myers, Pears, Crameri, Hooker and Hibberd - not that we would make 6 forced changes) or the cupboard could be completely empty.

I know that whatever happens I don't want to see Gumby or Browne come out of the side. I like the look of Brown at half back. We need the cool head and good decision making/ball use.

You'd think that Dell, Kav, Baguley (Hibberd?) and Melksham will all be under pressure to retain a spot in the side.

I also doubt that Hooker will play this week. Pears will probably come in to play as a KPD.

Likely omissions of Stanton and Davey ought to help Kav (who should deffinately be selected over Melksham at this stage) and Dell'Olio retain spots in the side.

Or maybe his role in the team isn't full time midfield, hence why he's playing up forward.

Tried to pick the 22 and could only come up with 14 names I think are certainties, and with questions hanging over so many players due to form or injury concerns I think we can base a team around these guys;-

FB ? ? ? ? ? ?
HB Hardingham Carlisle Browne
centre Dempsey Hocking Heppell
HF Jetta Gumby Winderlich
FF ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Rucks T.Bell Watson Howlett

Bench ? ? ? ? Hille
SUB NLM

As someone else mentioned liked the look of Browne off half back and I think he'll hold his spot.
The remaining 8 positions up for grabs as are the finals if we can get our shit back togethor. Will come from the following players;-

defenders: Fletch Hooker Hibberd Dyson Pears Baguley

forwards: Hurley Crameri Monfries Davey Dell'Olio Reimers

mid fielders Stanton Myers Melksham Kavanagh Lonergan

Anyones guess really and will be an interesting week at the selection table.

OUT: Hille, Dell, Melksham, Baguley, Kav
IN: CramDog, Hurley, Hibbo, Pears, Myers

FB: Hardingham Carlisle Fletcher
HB: Dempsey Pears Browne
C: Heppell Stanton Hocking
HF: Monfries Gumbleton Crameri
FF: Davey Hurley Jetta
FOLL: Bellchambers Watson Howlett
I/C: Hibbo, Myers, NLM.

The whole problem is in the midfield so I'd be pretty disappointed if we only made one change there. Ben dropping/removing Dell and Davey is interesting to me. The problem with playing 2-3 small forwards is, when your midfield gets beaten, you're basically down 2-3 players 'cause they just can't do anything. I wouldn't mind Jetta being the only one and bringing in another midfield rotation

Winderlich, Monfries, Jetta is enough with three talls.

We are full of small forwards in the team - Jetta/Melksham/Dell'Olio/Davey/Winderlich - Let's forget about the midfield.

Think you are defending the indefensible with Melksham - Doesn't have the endurance to play an effective role in the team - The blooding stage is over - He's played over games.

Agreed. Every Essendon player should remain in the defensive 50 at all times barring Davey (CHF).
