Yes, No. 7 for Mt Lilydale is their Captain, Pete Cassidy. And Yes, he gets lots of the ball.....

So why is there no Pete Cassidy or number 7 that has played for mount lilydale this year? Interesting.....

A few surprises over the weekend. A loss might not be such a bad thing for NB - going through undefeated would create a massive weight of expectation come finals time, especially after going out in straight sets last year.

D4 is looking more like a 3-horse race. SMD now 1-4 from their last five starts, including some pretty comprehensive losses to the top 3 sides.

Interesting that schools seem less willing to share facilities with their OB sides, with MtL and SFX playing off site this year. Same thing happened to Salesian a few years ago, forcing their merger with St Mary's. Is there some trend behind this?

How's that prediction looking ?, well hasn't that has thrown a spanner in the works !.
Anyone like to shed some light on what happened ?, all other results went as predicted maybe not the margins though.
Good to see Masala being a lot more competitive too.

Absolute cracking game of footy to watch. Mt lilydale pressure didn't allow nth brunny to switch like they usually do. Both teams did have some handy outs but at the end of the day mt lilydale were more hungry in my eyes. The loss will be good for nth. Bit of pressure off and a reality cheek i reckon.

R12 tips:

North Brunswick vs. Masala.
Elsternwick vs. Box Hill North. Should be a good contest. Will go with the home side.
South Mornington vs. SFX. Think Sth Mornington will put in a better showing than they did against Parkside, but SFX showed they are the real deal by demolishing a top 4 side last week.
South Melb Dist vs. Mt Lilydale. Much more interesting than it would have been a week ago. SMD are coming off a heavy defeat while MtL will be pumped after knocking off the red hot flag favourite. If it was out east, I would go with MtL. At South, think the bloods will have enough to scrape home. If not, write them off as a serious finals side.
Eley Park vs. Parkside. Parkside comfortably.

Is it not obvious through comparison that higher grades have used less players than N B and SMD. If the stats were not there how would you know.

This season is starting to really throw in some big upset's....this week it's Sth Mornington. They were never headed and deserved their great win !, did anyone other than Bob see that coming ?
Mt Lilydale are proving a tipsters nightmare up one week down the next, maybe number 7 whoever he is didn't play ?.
Parkside continue on their winning ways and surely are now being taken as a serious threat ?.
Elsterwick kick the sweep and no scores from the Nth B game. surely they won ?.

Happy with the win and that our season is still alive, was a scrappy game but we played well
Parkside and Nth Brunny are the top 2 from what I have seen this year
Still going to be tough for us to crack that top 4, will need to win 5 or 6 and hope STF or Sth Melb to drop 2 or 3
