Very disappointing to see the Collingwood throw Pendles in the middle to start the last.

That club has no business having under 23 players as they never get exposed at the highest level. And now this is the result of under exposure. It's only a praccy match but gee their list of 23 and under is grim.
Looking like a potato farm out there.

To be fair to Collingwood (and all teams), I'm not sure how much can be read into pre-season games/practice games. In fact, I'm actually surprised how much discussion happens in regards to pre-season games that mean absolutely nothing in the scheme of things long term.
The season proper is when it matters.

You can take a lot out of preseason games, you look at strategy that can be used in season, look at kids who are vying for a best 23 spot. The result doesnt matter but the substance of the game does.To be fair to Collingwood (and all teams), I'm not sure how much can be read into pre-season games/practice games. Not at all, I didnt watch the Pies preseason game so I cant comment. I was just saying that preseason games have relevance. They do mean something. With that said, we'd be pretty happy with a couple of the youngsters then? Is that allowed or do we have to disrespect them all like other posters from oppo clubs (one in particular) do?
I liked what I saw from Steele, Anderson and Allan. Steene was okay in patches along with Cochran. As to the game itself. Who cares? Practice match with most of both teams missing many players. People who get excited about a teams chances during preseason are dumb arses (aka Carlton supporters). With that said, we'd be pretty happy with a couple of the youngsters then? Then you miss out. Taking the result seriously is silly.No. I don't.
They are not relevant to good teams in terms of their potential performances. They are relevant to bad teams trying to improve their game styles and fringe players trying to earn selection. Not at all, I didnt watch the Pies preseason game so I cant comment. None that said pick me.
Teams like Gold Coast and Bulldogs (who were missing chunks of their team because of SoO), sure... but to think it didnt matter to Craig McCrea who was implementing a faster brand of footy (reported by the media) then it does. They are not relevant to good teams in terms of their potential performances. Did i say they were more than that, Im stating they have relevance. To the club, to the coaches, to the players. And to the fans, hope is a power thing for some supporters.they mean matchpractice
