Same here. I honestly don't reckon I am THAT great in the looks department, but I have TONS of personality, and it does keep the guys coming..........I have been told a zillion times in the last month that I have a cute smile, is that a bonus? LOL Sly I do have to agree though, those of us with personality will never be lonely.

I can produce evidence that shows that looks are the first and most important thing which we judge people on when we first meet them. First impressions are based on looks and first impressions are vital in how we interact with people.

Personality and all the other stuff are only taken into account once we get past the first impression stage. If that first impression (ie. looks) is negative, good luck getting the chance to prove you have a great personality.

Luckily I have both.

Of course looks count. What attracted you to your partner in the first place? The way they looked!
If you didn't like the way they looked would you have bothered getting to know them in the first place?
Looks are the first thing you notice. Personality, intelligence, sense of humour are more important, but you always notice the physical presence first.

Also good looking people get a better deal in life. They get the best jobs, the attention, they are more popular and have more friends. A pretty girl can get away with the most atrocious, bad tempered, tantrum throwing behaviour that is not normally tolerated from someone who is less than attractive. It shouldn't be that way I know, but it is.

But on the other hand people also make the assumption that if someone is good looking they are not intelligent. That's also incorrect. Looks have nothing to do with intelligence.

But it's true. A few guys wouldn't ask me out anyway cos I'm the same height or taller then them so guys do worry about that too.

Looks definately count, unless you are blind...

Anyone who is denying themselves that looks are not an important factor in the attraction of two people are kidding themselves. I'm not saying that you both have to be stunners, but there is always an element of physical attraction, otherwise you would just stay really close friends.....
