Sbagman, I use three times the recommended amount of bacon. :)

Also the amounts of pepper and nutmeg are crucial to making the perfect dish. When it's finished, I serve it on a mountain of tortellini (grated cheese on top is optional).

Goes very well with German beer... hell, ANY beer.

Oh now THAT sounds pretty good... I love using heaps of bacon too.... and a 50:50 mix of parmeggiano and pecorino....

NOW I'm hungry....

I wasn't planning on making carbonara for you... my girlfriend would get jealous.

My fave recipe at the moment is a broccoli pesto.... yummm.

Sly, invited any time, but I don't think you'd know quite what you're in for... ;)

Another favourite is curry - either mild chicken or super-hot beef. I've taken the beef ones in to work, and even the Indian and Fijian-Indian co-workers winced in agony! Perhaps skip that one for a first date. :p
Not bad at bolognaise either, do a decent satay, and a pretty good beef rendang (that's Malaysian I think).

So you're probably wondering what's on the menu for lunch today?

Chips. :p
