I just doubt there will still be 9 teams in the Melbourne region in 2030 (and yes, I admit my team may be in the gun too)
Surely thats a joke, our crowds are at least 20% bigger than yoursAbsolutely, considering your club is currently in a worse financial position than North.

If we go then you are next.

Yeah possibly but I think that isn't on the cards for a looooong time so we have a lot of time to make up ground which are doing quite nicely already.
Jan 2016 is my guess. In a seriously bad way at the moment.
Won't merge or fold.
AFL's in an expansion-at-all-costs phase for the next 15 years.
20 teams by 2025 IMHO.
They may move.
I don't think that reads how you want it to.There's no way the membership would ever vote for a permanent move, so I think moving and folding would be mutually exclusive.
I don't want to see them fold, but they should have relocated to Canberra 10 years ago. They could have had the ACT to themselves, they would still have a large supporter base in Victoria, and GWS wouldn't be needed.

You guys were playing some home games there, wouldn't be surprised to see an AFL team based in the capital city one day. I reckon most Swans fans are glad they moved to Sydney. Relocating (South Melbourne) is less painful than folding or merging (Fitzroy).10 years ago we were coming of a great era, why would we move to Canberra?
True, winning plenty of games makes a big difference. We've had bigger crowds for the last 5 years, even in 2007 when North pinched a top 4 spot and Bulldogs crashed with a horrible end to the season. They weren't a few years ago.
With a 1 billion TV rights deal about to be signed no teams will be folding or merging. Stupid poll.
