Stupid post. Clearly we aren't going into finals with that side.

And they're not getting past the first week

We may not have a choice. Who knows what injuries we have in store for us. Sydney we’re good and could trouble lots of teams in the finals.

On today’s effort they would have us covered in finals. Desperately need Naughton, Dunks, Trelor, Wood and Stef back. If we go in with today’s team against pretty much any top 8 team we lose.
when we get Dunks , Treloar,Wood, stef and even McLean and Naughton back we will have the swans covered

Every week Scott and Hannan get picked and they’re consistently in the bottom couple of players on the ground.

Ugle Hagen playing had a Jack Watts on debut feel to it. He’s clearly not ready yet and out of form, it was a mind boggling selection.

The past two weeks there’s been a complete lack of urgency to shut down the opposition’s uncontested marking, it’s Sydney’s only weapon and they were allowed to effortlessly move the ball out defence all game.

Anyone who still wants Naughton in the backline remember this game.

Once again Bevo proves he can't change a game when our gameplan doesn't work don't get me wrong his the best coach we have ever had but in our losses this year teams have shut down our gameplan and Bevo has shown he doesn't know how to combat this. We end up just bombing it forward, playing on instinct and hoping for the best and trying to tire out teams so we can eventually get our gameplan back on.
Occasionally this works against lesser sides but against top 8 teams we end up losing as we haven't been able to switch things up against them and change the game to try and get it back on our terms.
It's like Bevo thinks he doesn't have to come up with a second gameplan because plan a will eventually work or perhaps he doesn't know how to.

Got to play Sweet next week need a big body in the ruck that can ruck when English is tired or goes forward, JUH dropped sadly not ready yet needs to bulk up massively Naughty straight back in or Schache if not Naughts not ready

Continually gave up multiple possessions that allowed them to take plenty of ground off us and then blast through the middle. Happened all game and was probably why it seems like we should have lost by so much more. Feels like we rarely had the ball

Some selfish habits creeping into the team. Hannan and Wallis the big offenders. They both definitely can't play in the same team, and I think we're probably better without either.
Honestly i've been rather pleased with Scott lately. He's still doing what he needs to be doing.
JJ had a few good games early on after his role change but now offers nothing.

What the F are we doing with a great player ?

Think it’s slightly concerning. Sydney played a style very similar to Melbourne today and it didn’t seem like we had an adjustment to it again. Not sure if it’s a habit to the slow football or if we just had an off day with our ball use and poor pressure. The outs we had might have finally took it’s toll as well.

Fair play to Sydney though, they were seriously impressive. Think they would’ve beaten most sides today and they probably could have won by more in the end. We played into their hands and they were in control most of the day

Shows how important Naughton is to our forward line structure had nothing happening and our smalls plus Bruce couldn't get involved cause we had nobody who could snag a mark in our 50 or even bring the ball to ground

Wrong day to pick Jamarra, felt sorry for him. Bruce is nothing without Naughton, Hannan, Wally and JJ out. Gave us nothing

Our exits from defence were terrible today. Same kick close to the boundary line. Surely we could have tried something different. Seems like no body wanted to put the effort in to get to the space. That’s two weeks in a row the opposition out worked.
Similarly, in defence we let them exit easily just allowing them the short option every time. MC seriously need to rethink all this.
