That was a tough watch after quarter time but we're still a game clear on top, which makes a huge difference heading into a difficult patch with injuries. Bank it, move on, and hope the medical report is favourable.

whats the view of dolans game? looking at the stats, he had 10 SI from 16 disposals which is pretty handy ball use.

jones however, crazy stats - 10 disposals, 10 score involvements. can we keep this kid on the park please?

crazy how Kennedy can manage 36 disposals, 8 score involvements, 11 clearances and a goal, and yet it was probably his worst game for the club.

That was proper shithouse from a lot of our players. I do feel for McNeil as he was likely pretty cooked from 3 quarters of VFL footy, but he looked way off it tonight. We can’t have him in the side next week. Davidson and Croft also pretty disappointing though I do think Croft lifted well when English came off.

We might be cooked with injuries. The Hawks may give us our first loss of the season next week.

Not worried though. Brisbane served up some shit last year, as do a lot of good sides. Pies in 2023 were winning some close ones against shit teams. Last year we won this match up by 90+ both times, but missed finals. This year we’re just getting the 4 points and hopefully moving on to next week.

The most concerning aspect of tonights pedestrian effort after qtr time was the way the backline looked shaky under the high ball and when it hit the ground on the last line. It had all of the hallmarks of recent seasons and really wouldn't want to be repeated next week.
