Very strong rumour that Essendon will be throwing bags of cash at Luke Ball in a bid to entice him to Windy Hill to help fix their mid-field problems.

If not successful they will drive his price up, leaving less for the next out of contract Saint.

Take your pick, Reiwoldt, Kozi, Dal Santo all out of contract in a years time to go with Ball, McGuire and Gehrig this year. Shake the tree hard enough and some fruit may fall off.

Why is it when Essendon try and recruit a player they are accused of ruining the comp but when it happens to them it is okay.

I am still furious that we lost Hardwick, Caracella, Blumfield and Heffernan due to Salary Cap problems when we have drafted all these players in the National Draft. Just because we were able to see talent at a young age, we have suffered.

If someone can name a player of any note we have poached or recruited in the last ten years it will be a miracle.

I hope we get Ball as he is a gun.

Ball is a great young player and an exciting prospect. Our selection commitee would probably play him at Bendigo every second week. Would he feel comfortable being dropped for Henneman?

hahahaha the vultures are out again, the Saints are a good side aren't they boys. Instead of everyone wanting our players why don't you all just buy Saint memberships?
History says the players are easier to get.

The more prices for players like Ball get forced up the more Sydney lick their lips at the moment.

You are assuming that his price is being forced up. Goddard signed for less than the posion pair of MM and Eddie offered. How do I know? Because Goddard signed for the original offer the Saints put in front of him, and it is comunsurate with a 3 rd year player still finding his feet.

Ball will sign with the Saints, just like Goddard.

Hawthorn have a far better chance of getting Ball, and he and his agent have categorically stated that he doesn't want to go there and he is happy at the Saints.
