Amid all the Nathan drama and what have you, the contributions of 21 other players. Some of these boys deserve plaudits of their own:

- Our captain. He's been given crap this year, most of it (debatably) warranted, but today he put in a true game. What was sweeter, him beating out the competitions best ruckman, or showing some grunt out on the ground? Been a long time coming, but he's pleased at least one fan.

- Jarad Rooke. Exemplified so well the type of 'hard at it', 'take no prisoners', 'team before self' player we lacked. Not only gave Judd a nice blanketing, but played the part of a human battering ram well. Was given a hiding last week, so 'tis a nice show of character coming out the way he did a week later.

- James Kelly. A pleasing return to form.

- Matt Egan. Response to last week typifies the player you're proving to be. Reliable, courageous, and improving with every week - literally.

- The much publicised couple of last week. Nothing needs to be said about Dog's game, whilst Mackie chimed in with his trademark tackling, one percenters, and goal assists.

- Thomas Harley. The glue of the defense.

- Moons. Played the ever important role of the floating big man to perfection. Was disciplined, read the play well, and took his fair share of telling marks in the back half.

- Sarge Chambers. You, my friend, deserve to be given every chance possible. Why? Because you seize it every single time. To the 15 other clubs, where's your Unco?

Too tru G, can I add a couple more

GaryA , seems to have regained the touch from earlier in the year since NA has been in the side.

Jimmy B , ripper of a game. I know we dont want to upset our payment system but we must not lose him.

Sando , played his best game for some time

Cam L , one can see why he is favourite to be next captain the way he puts his body on the line, over and over ( should not have called for the ball from Nathan though)

I don't think there was any player that didn't play well today. Was a fantastic group effort. Especially pleased with the boys mentioned, there was a real noticable lift in intensity and desperation this game. I hope we can keep it up for the next match and into the finals. What a perfect time to hit form.

Can't wait to watch the replay for once. Sounds like a return to our effort against Port. If only we'd do the same every week, but we still have our chance this season so let's see what we can pull off.

This reminds me of the Power game where all 22 played well and most failed to back it up.

Though it was good to see, lets see if they are all able to put a couple of weeks together in the part of the season it counts most.

True, everyone said we were back after beating Port.

But seeing us play like that yesterday, I am saying it right here right now: If we play like that from here on in we WILL win the Grandfinal. True, WCE were way off but playing like that deserves credit.

A great team effort from the boys, and some very good coaching by Bomber too

a great effort but not getting carried away at all as we have been burnt many a time by these boys, need to turn in on during sep or its just another wasted year

We have been burnt by past players and a poor culture through the 90's. We haven't been burnt so much by this list of players.

It is amazing what having a crack and some extra key personnel can do.

I think Stevie J was also missed in the above accolades. Here's to a full pre-season.
