I do go to Collingwood games when I can. I, thankfully, no longer need to sit in the outer. And I can assure you the view gives a much better view of the game plan, or lack of one.

Your reference to the 'outer' brings back fond memories of the 'outer' at Vic Park. Was a cauldron.

The outer is wholly sanitised these days.
While I’m no advocate of some of the things that used to happen there, the adjustment has gone way to far the other way.
And I see now that many of the pubs around the MCG are ow banning club colours after 7pm. Seems that the banter of the old outer days, that used to extend to the pub post game, no longer exists.

Its a story that will never die. I dont condone violence in any form, including on the footy field, but I will say that Rhys Jones was a very annoying footballer.

All these years buying seats at the MCG didn't realise that there is a dry area. I used to just click on AFL reserve without really checking other options.

Bought seats for the Geelong match there and will do so in future.
