Vale Parky.
A great interviewer back in the days when interviewees were on the show for their talent or their community work, not because they can gather clicks/followers.

Always made himself small, created a bigger space for guests to seem larger than life.

And seemed like a nice bloke.

I’ve had enough of Kingy referring to Darcy Moore as “selfish.” It’s happened twice now (from the limited amount I watch Kingy speak), and that is two times too many. Kingy believes that Moore is trying to do too much by himself and ‘be the man’, but what he is really doing is covering the ground quickly to help out his team mates. Because he has the athleticism and tank to do so. Because he works hard. Because he’s made of the right stuff.

Do you know what is really selfish, Kingy? Playing a heap of games and knowing what it’s like to play at the top level, then crossing over to Media World, losing that empathy, and throwing ill-considered and hurtful labels at players like Moore who bleed for their club.

That’s selfish.

Remember when David king was the defensive coach at Richmond, had a back line with rance mcguane Newman etc and we beat them by 93….

I often view King's analysis through the lens of him being a man that woefully failed at coaching

Gee just got my car insurance renewal, gone up 36% to $1816.98 for a 2019 Hyundai.

Will be shopping around on Monday.
I am with Australian Seniors and paid about $650 (incl hire car if not at fault) each of the last 2 years. Kilometre limit of 8000 applies. They were easily the cheapest last year and get good reviews on productreview.com. 2020 Hyundai i30.

Round 24 isn’t seeming quite so thrilling now. 3 of the games are played between teams already now ruled out of finals.
Our game is meaningless beyond locking in the minor Premiership but it’s first or second for us and Essendon can’t make the 8.
If West Coast hang on, Geelong V Dogs will be an elimination final for the dogs.

Only truly interesting games are Brisbane v St Kilda (if we somehow lose, Brisbane take top spot with the win) and Carlton v GWS, which is an elimination final for GWS.

Sydney V Melbourne slight interest. We’ll know then if Port won and if Melbourne can move from 4th.

Not quite the thriller round the AFL hoped for.

Is there a sport in the world where media and fans are so obsessed with history and trying to form a narrative about what happens in the future. This talk about previous flag winners not losing X amount before finals is the biggest load of shit. Oh and you can't win it from 4th because no one ever has so if port lose another it's Brisbane's flag. Lol Ok.

This shit and general superstition is so ingrained into the history of this sport and it's ridiculous.

I just hope GWS kick the crap out of Carlton. I want brutality on an epic scale.

We were #1 defence a few weeks ago, but have dropped on the back of the 100+ we've conceded in recent weeks. Generous to be #4 though. On current form, we're close to last defensively. It's something we really need to see improve to go deep into September.

Right back in the pack now when looking at how the ladder would be if the season started in Round 12.

Great work on this.
What's the purpose of looking at the ladder from Round 12? Do we just forget the first 12 rounds?

Shows more recent form. Our actual ladder position is largely on the back of our 11-1 start.
At round 12 we were clearly standing out.
Since then we’re just average 6th placed with 4 losses. This is the form we’re taking into the last round before finals.

Would you rather be first on the ladder since round 12 or the main ladder. In other words would you swap Carlton's position for ours?
1 game separates us and Brisbane and Melbourne on that ladder.

Good question.

I’d say Carlton’s position, IF, they had made top 4 (like us last year).
But given Carlton has just fallen short, it becomes a lot more difficult for them to win a flag. So us. Having sealed up top 4 ages ago. The double chance is huge.

We're going to be ok Kes I'm starting to believe
The good news is, our top of the ladder position makes it a lot easier regardless of form.

1st week, no travel. We play the G which players and fans love most.

And if we can win that, we’re then suddenly in the box seat for the GF.

I’m really hoping something snaps and we see the early season Pies pressure and defensive efforts return in the finals.
