This game came out sometime during the week, $49 at JB HI-FI, just wondering if anyone has picked it up and what do they think of it?

Saw it in the stores today and was very close to grabbing it for $39 on PC from EB. Probably will buy it soon, interested because it has Doom and Doom II as part of the package on top of 8 extra missions. Will be a nostalgia buy for me, especially considering it has the original re-mastered on it.

I played the PC version years ago, the thing i hated about it was you had to switch between weapon and a torch to see where you were going. It was alright otherwise. Have they fixed that up in this game? Where you can use a torch mounted on a gun....?

EDIT: Watched the trailer. And i guess they haven't :(

Flashlight is now like Half-Life 2. You can use it with a weapon, but it drains pretty quick (though it recharges a lot quicker). I honestly never found that to be a problem as I felt it added so much tension to the game, but apparently enough people felt the same way as you for them to do something about it.

Ah they have? It would honestly turn this game into an avoid to a must buy for me if that's the case. I know what you mean about the tension side of it, but i just found it a bit frustrating that even in sections where there were no monsters about, you couldn't really see the detail in your surroundings and where you were going either. Wasn't after something that would illuminate the entire area, which would kill the tension like you say, but i'm glad i'm not alone if they decided to fix it up. lol.
