Anyone else played the beta?

It's MP only. Very fast, much guns. No reloading. It brought me back to playing this years ago and being sworn off FPS' because they gave me motion sickness.

In terms of mechanics, there's nothing that really sets it apart from what Ive seen (and the beta is limited). Lots of pick ups. You get 3 perks that you can activate throughout the round. You can activate a demon mode, think of calling in a Titan in Titanfall...just less fun.

This all looks very MP FPSy, and Im sure accusations will be levelled againt my Mother by 11 year olds should they kill me.

If you are bored with MP shooters, this wont bring you back.

i played the closed BETA a few weeks ago, wasnt that impressed. doubt i will buy it since it comes out 3 days after Uncharted 4.

Might get it when its like $30 later in the year if the story is good.

Yeah would pass for a Indy 20 buck pickup but felt a bit cheap and hollow, lasted 5 minutes.

Very average and not deserving of the Doom name. Still looking at picking it up for the single player when its cheap...... if it reviews well.

Yeah I tried it, had a few games and then uninstalled it. Expected better for whatever reasons. Might pick up when in bargain bin too.

very sad here. HATE the idea of loadouts, and while there is an appearance of speed the movement is too slow for me. if i were to return to arena shooters, i don't see anything here that would move me away from Q3 or UT.

The maps feel shit. They feel like modern building corridors and ramps, but are actually based in the 7th level of hell.

That sucks, been looking forward to this game for ages. 90% of my excitement is the single player, but still disappointing the MP is lacking.

I've got it on pre order to pick up tomorrow. I've been concerned for a while now purely because they've been flogging too many advertisements. Always a danger sign. Still excited anyway.

One of the Wolfenstein games didnt have any review copies given out either and that turned out fine. Everything I've seen looks good, not concerned at all.

Remember playing Doom way back when I was little, that and Quake were the FPS that you had to play in those days.
