Interested in knowing everyone's opinions on the prevalence of doping within professional tennis.
Cyclingnews forums 'The Clinic' has an interesting thread about Nadal which branches off into more general tennis doping talk, and through that I was linked to the site http://tennishasasteroidproblem.blogspot.com/ that I've been looking through for a while this afternoon and find it pretty thought provoking.
Personally, it wouldn't surprise me at all if the amount of doping in professional sports such as tennis, NBA and plenty of others is way higher than is generally accepted, and I think in 20 years or so we will be looking back on the current era with an asterisk because of how much doping takes place.
The changes in professional athletes physique and stamina is phenomenal, with one plausible explanation being that they are doping.
I also think that organizations who govern the sports are often deliberately not as truthful to the public as one would like regarding positive tests, due to keeping the reputation of the sport intact. For example, imagine the public reaction if Nadal was found to be a doper.
