Interested in knowing everyone's opinions on the prevalence of doping within professional tennis.

Cyclingnews forums 'The Clinic' has an interesting thread about Nadal which branches off into more general tennis doping talk, and through that I was linked to the site http://tennishasasteroidproblem.blogspot.com/ that I've been looking through for a while this afternoon and find it pretty thought provoking.

Personally, it wouldn't surprise me at all if the amount of doping in professional sports such as tennis, NBA and plenty of others is way higher than is generally accepted, and I think in 20 years or so we will be looking back on the current era with an asterisk because of how much doping takes place.

The changes in professional athletes physique and stamina is phenomenal, with one plausible explanation being that they are doping.

I also think that organizations who govern the sports are often deliberately not as truthful to the public as one would like regarding positive tests, due to keeping the reputation of the sport intact. For example, imagine the public reaction if Nadal was found to be a doper.

No doubt Nadal, Stosur and now Djokovic are juiced right up. You could make cases for most of the big names.

The ITF just doesn't give a shit about stopping it, as seen with the cover-ups and lack of testing.

Nadal and Stosur you could make a case for, but Djokovic? I don't see it.

He has gone from the softest player around to being able to out-last Nadal. He plays an epic three-setter against Murray and beats Nadal the next day, showing no ill-effects. All because he stopped eating bread? I don't buy that at all.

Well, it's no secret that Federer's been taking for years.

There were pretty big rumors about it before he beat Mark Philippoussis to win his first Wimbledon. Hell, the tournament doctor claimed when Fed got injured early in the tournament that there was no way he could continue on unless he received some form of "miracle". Following that, Federer used the term throughout the rest of the tournament. When asked specifically about it he joked around and said something about him getting some "tips" from former champs and named Navratilova. Now the two have a long-lasting feud that has had Martina claim that he'd never regain the world's #1 ranking among other a litany of other things.
