Draft Camp results

Anyone got a link to the draft camp test results?

Pretty sure a lot of the results are being published on AFL.com this year. I'd link to it but I flat out refuse to visit that website.

Other than that they're probably on the BF D&T board.

Pfft someone said Hill's agility test record was in danger.

7.77 still stands :thumbsu:

I really hope Aaron Black is still there when we have our second round pick. Im really starting to like the kid.

I like him...very good in the games I saw at the champs, quick, knows where the goals are, good movement around the packs.
Reminds me of Brent Harvey

This, hoping we snare him with pick 20, would be a very good get with Morabito/Martin/Whoever at pick 4.

There was a highlights package put together of him a while back playing for Claremont, if you search for it. Broke the lines a few times, and certainly has some toe on him. Kicking distance was a bit iffy for mine though - but then again so is Judd's.

Can't remember who I argued with, but we agreed that Colyer has Judd pace with Bell awareness and size. Certainly couldn't hurt looking at him for a 2nd rounder, if he's still there. Would be an ideal replacement for the former captain.

I was hoping that Black lasted untill your second round pick so that Colyer would be available for us, im still hoping that people think he is too short and we are able to grab him as our FP. Black seems to be a late first rounder now though..

Doubt we'd use our 2nd pick on Trav, you'd think a KPP would be picked at 20 if we go Morabito/Martin with our first pick.

I dunno, I reckon if Colyer is available at 20 we take him, Morabito/Martin and Colyer would just about set our midfield straight.

Palmer/Hill/Ibbo/Suban/Morabito/Colyer/De Boer/Hase/Crowley looks pretty good IMO, Sandi would finally have someone decent to tap it to.

And I reckon you could quite easily remove Colyer from that list and it would still look ok, and then spend the 2nd rounder on a Full Forward for all those mids to kick it to. (Black/Panos)

If they are still there or if we get a pick for Tarrant/Drum then fair enough but if not then Colyer or another good mid.

Personally, my preferance out of the WA recruits:

Morabito > Lucas > Black > Fyfe > Jetta > Duncan > Colyer > Sheppard > Winmar > any one else ive forgotten

Regardless of draft camp results, I still wouldn't be picking Colyer in the top 30. I just don't rate him as highly as others.

If you're looking at midfielders, then at least some of Melksham, Bastinac, Moore, Duncan, Crichton, Harwood and Thomas will be available and are better options in my opinion.

Wouldnt mind Travis Colyer... any thoughts on the kid?

IMO I think he is still a little bit small not sure where he would play on an AFL team maybe forward pocket but we are pretty set in that posistion. I Am hoping we go pick 4 - BPA (Morabito, Martin), Pick 20 KPP (Black, Panos, Talia etc), Pick 36 KPP (Craig), Then best player available from then on.

I think you're seriously underrating Sheppard. I know a few people who have watched a lot more of him than me and they reckon he is our second best prospect behind Morabito

Yeah the results have seemed to catapult both rohan and martin but it is still hard to tell where they fit in due to the top guns not showing. I think we need to take either morabito or martin now if trengove and scully go as expected.

I also think Lucas is really underated on this site and rohan despite his results will be flashy but not consistent. I agree that Black has overperformed a bit much for my liking and lewis jetta aswell.

Not hard to see where they fit really. There is now 16 years of draft camp results to compare it to, even though you will not be able to compare to scully. Trengove will be tested at state screening.

Rohan is an interesting one isn't he. Some rare players actually get more touches at the pace of the AFL game. I suspect Rohan may be one of those. Basketball's most obvious example is Michael Jordan who at the Junior level only averaged 20pts a game, but over 30pts for a career in the NBA. Rohan is averaging about 16 touches a game if I recall correctly, which isn't huge. Why - ? not sure - can anyone who has seen him enough tell us if he runs hard enough or goes to the wrong spots - or was he playing team footy (blocking - keeping the spaces etc).

I just wonder about Rohan's defensive ability, given his lack of bulk and possible trouble adding weight on. Regardless I think he will be a good addition to any team in the AFL.
