From Twomey's article on Andy McGrath...

"McGrath's athletics background reads like an 18-year-old who would struggle to display all of his medals. He was the Australian under-14 champion in high jump (his best effort is 2m), and in 2012 was the Australian junior champion in the 200-metre hurdles.

He won heptathlon events in the under-15 age group at state level, and in 2014 won the Australian junior championships for the under-17 hurdles event. The Olympics were a way off, but not out of sight. He grew up training three times a week for his athletics career, and was eyeing the world youth championships in 2015 before pulling out of the sport.
"

- Now listed at 180cm, so maybe he's still growing...
- School Captain at Brighton Grammar and VM co-Captain. (so seemingly leadership potential).

Averages per games:
- 32.5 possessions (80% eff.)
- 12.5 handball receives
- 6.5 marks (0.5 marks)
- 6.75 tackles

Starting to really warm to him...
How much time does he spend in the middle I the TAC cup? I'm suspecting he played through the guts when he collected 44 possessions?

He looks like a star!

Plays more off half back, but runs on the wing too. Super quick.

I posed the question to my lads at AFL Draft Central; if he was 186cm, would he go top 5?

Kicked it right in front of me. Was a goal straight off the boot.

Yum.

I'll see if I can spot you at the game.

What do you think of Scharenberg as a play maker?

Scharenberg has to be a real chance for our selection if he's happy to come to Melbourne.
McCluggage a risk but has huge upside

I love how much everyone talks up a players 'dual sporting ability,' played cricket against Battle a fair bit and he was OK without being anything above average, yet the commentators just said he was offered a state contract, which is absolute horseshit of the highest order, never even made Vic metro u17 let alone Vic u17, which you'd have to absolutely dominate in to be offered a state contract, 1 game of premier cricket as well, my dog would be closer to a state contract.
