It’s GWS, not the Dogs. Definitely don’t rate him high enough worth using pick 13 to match a bid.

And yeah, I will crack the shits if we match at that level it would be the height of stupidity. Williams is a 2R talent at absolute best. Would love GWS to take him then actually use pick 13, 34 and 41/Banfield.

If Essendon do something crazy like 5, 6 + 9 for 2 + 13, do we sit on that or attempt to deal with Richmond for 4? Throw something like 6 + 34/41 at them. Leaves us with 1, 4, 5, 9, 34/41. We'd also have the option of splitting 9 to try and get a lower F1.

If we let Williams go, we still have pick 34 or whatever it ends up as to make a selection, I think we would take someone there and rely on Evans/Banfield making the rookie draft tbh

I'd be stoked with a player like Darcy Jones minus the ACL.

Place me in the split pick 2 camp.

I do rate C.Duff-Tytler, but still feel that it is better value for the club in its current position, to take two midfielders.


Even if Essendon offer 6 and 9; at least two from D.Sharp, S.Cumming, S.Robey, S.Grlj and J.Farrow will be available at those picks.

Package that with W.Duursma at pick 1, to accompany H.Reid and E.Hewett - and that's a very solid foundation in the middle for this rebuild.


Either way, the first 10 minutes of this draft will be instrumental to the club's outcomes for the next 10 years.
