If we still have pick 9 and 13 use them on:
9: Clayton Oliver ( powerful explosive mid)
13: Kieren Collins (key back that is good intercept player as well)

Those 2 plus a few good trades

Think we need at least 1 key forward. Weideman, Burton or Mckay. Then one of Tucker or Milera. Preferably tucker Bicks has sold him to me. Maybe a key back with a later pick such as Skinner.

KPF's
McKay, Burton, Weideman in that order, McKay has the added advantage of also offering a chop out Ruck option, Best of the "roughies" Callum Moore

Outside Mids/Running Backs with pace and elite kicks.
Tucker, Hibberd, Bonner in that order..not sold on Milera for that sort of role personally.

Speculative/Late Picks
Yestin Eades, Jadyn Brind

KPD's
Michael Hartley, Mitch Brown in that order : not required I guess if as speculated Michael Talia is traded in.

Bicks ...think you've nailed it ...like that you've identified Callum Moore as a roughie

It's just one player we disagree on ;)

I'd also not be adverse about picking up young Didymus Blanket either.

No idea what he is like as a player though.

Saw Milera play in the SANFL semi and I really rate this kid.

Don't think I'd use our first pick on him, but would seriously consider using our second.

With the lack of 1st round talent we've added to the list in recent years do you think we can afford to spend another one on a key defender?
I'd like to add another genuine tall back there, but not with an early pick or trade that gives up anything significant.

08 Davis, 09 Talia
10 Smith, 11 Kerridge + Crouch
12, 13 - none
14 Lever

As that Carlton poster said, we are very big on Harry McKay and reckon we will snag him with 9 if no one else goes early on him. He seems to be very much the modern day forward and to me he appears like the type of player that our recruiting team would love for what he brings to the table in a physical sense.

Doubt he will be there by 13, but there's a good chance one of Milera or Tucker will be there at that pick.

What do you guys reckon about Josh Schoenfeld? Where do you think he'll be sitting in the draft? He had a strong combine, such an elite runner

Still very keen on Mitch hibberd. Had a great combine. Great endurance runner, quick, good kick, good size about him.
Love Mitch for a second rounder so need to package up kerridge and our 3rd to get a pick 20-25 ....try to get carltons 2nd round would be best and hear they are into kerridge

If hibberd goes before early 20s there are other good players there before it drops off a bit

I watched him in U18s and thought he was draftable and now these results at combine push him up further .... 3rd rounder but maybe even in first 40 , he would suit us as a powerful runner on the outside ....not quick but not slow I'd say similar speed to a sidebottom and some traits similar to Stanton

This is exactly how I see it unfolding ...add ah Chee and Burton into mix at 13

If Callum Moore could kick he'd be a potential star , he's about as reliable as casboult by foot but a great aerialist ....good pick bicks

Milera ...don't worry about him bicks , just think Shaun burgoyne - v versatile and has proven himself in sanfl finals which is huge ( and a local )

Sam Skinner is a great competitive would like him from 3rd round onwards , big lad at 197cm lacks speed and agility but could play on resting rucks and we don't have a defender that size

Markov , tiziani , shoenfield , Morgan are players that may interest us later in draft as they have a bit of zip or running power

Really think it's important to trade our 2nd and a player to upgrade our 2nd to the early 20s....we should be aiming at snatching carltons 2nd pick as guys like hibberd , Gresham and maybe even Ryan Clarke could be available there

Oliver is an inside mid who doesn't damage by foot. Very much surplus to requirements. Too early for him too.

Collins is an interesting one. Apparently rarely beaten, not just in a game but in a contest. Shut down Schache easily. We are very short on KPD. Maybe.

So Oleg Markov is back at the combine this year. Perfect score for goal kicking test. He tested pretty well in the speed drills last year from memory?
What has his footy been like in the last 12 months?

Kicked 5 in a national 18s game for SA this yr playing as over ager

Has elite athletic traits but plays a little like an athlete , not good in a contest is v light and or a bit soft

Has definite X factor , is more a mid draft pick than first or second round and think we wont have those later picks this year which is a good thing

Not sure if has been commented on... but what is/was Ryan Burton's running like prior to injury...

I was wondering if there was a role for him as a high half forward/winger link player as per his namesake the Birdman...

Going by Noble today we are looking for speed so likely not on our radar....maybe a rookie if not drafted?
Ok thanks. Was watching the fox footy draft combine and saw he ran top 10 3k so had a look. They said for pick 9 it may be the Tasmanian lad forget his name now. Half back utility.
