Oliver is the safest option. Milera I love his work especially at SANFL League games. Burton is the most talented though.

In my opinion Oliver has the explosiveness and abilty to win the contested ball that could in two years replace Thompson. Oliver will play round one and will have impact like Wines.

I cringe when i hear the word safe used in drafting ....no offence

Cannot make up an opinion on Burton .....huge talent ....no football for 18 months ....serious injury
No doubt here's there for us to take if we want him .....club would be all over his rehab and recovery
I have no idea with Burton

Am allowed to still pray with Curnow

So given Curnow is not there ...whose likely to be the best mid available to us ?.....Oliver? Milera?

13 too much for burton with his leg. Probably too much for bonner too who probably doesn't get enough of his own ball. Clayton Oliver a bit of a late Bolter but looks like he's purely excelling due to his physicality against skinny 18 year olds.

I like hibberd a lot. Haven't seen enough of McKay to comment but he's a bit of a risk being so young and raw.

Francis has gone to Essendon, he's apparently a supporter of them, so Essendon wanted to grab him most likely.

We still need another ruckman, and the only one I can see is either our Rookies coming up faster than ever or picking up Gach Nyuon in the draft, which people are estimating in the second round of picks... which we don't have.

I think we'll have to pick up Burton for 13, because someone else will take him in the lower ranks. As for slot 9... Oliver? Wayne Milera? It honestly depends on who picks who. Plus there's a few good Victorians that might slip through the picks.

I'm talking out of my ass. I have no idea what's going to happen.

It's fun to speculate but it's highly likely our recruiters know exactly who they want/think they can get with our picks. Things can change in the next month but they'll also have a solid idea of who the other clubs like too.

I am convinced that we will pick up a key forward (if available) and a midfielder with the two picks.

I have no doubt that our recruiting team would consider this a dream scenario.

No idea who the actual players are that we would like but I am confident that we are hopingto walk away with a big and a small.

I'd say it was ten years ago. 2005, Douglas and Pfieffer?

Harley Balic if avalible or Rhys Matheison for inside mids. Oliver is next.

Milera probably has to play a mid in the AFL because of menzel taking his forward slot. Has lots of tricks and as an outside player is best available.

Certainly another strong marking mid for one pick .....depending on availability a KPF (to replace JPod) or another mid

I would like us to grab weideman with 9. He could be next in line to Jenkins who will be 27 soon and we don't have any young tall stars. As for 13 burton sounds like jake stringer. Hugely talented and x-factor but horrific leg break has hampered his run to the draft. The only thing that worries me is we are a little thin in midfield top end talent. A lot of good soldiers but no real general

Endurance can be improved in an elite system. Matheison dominates the clearances and can hit the scoreboard. Reminds me a little of what Dangerfield does. I'm not saying he will be that good but he's different to kerridge.

Balic has some great evasive moves at his disposal. Something our midfield doesn't have. He weaves through traffic and at his best can slot a fee goals and gather 20+ disposals.

Oliver is the best contested football player on the draft after Hopper. Oliver has the ability to go forward and dominate. Has some great athletic traits. Probably like to see him lose a little 'baby' fat.

Also a player I would consider in the 3rd round not first is Brind from West Adelaide. Plays as a forward and midfielder. Has some work ethic issues but can definitely play. Remind me a little of a young Dane Swan.

Mathieson is a lot meh for mine.

Yes I rate him. Left footer, receiver , link player. Has a fluent right side as well. Overhead ok. Height ok. 13 for me.

If Burton's leg has tested out and got the OK, then I don't see why we wouldn't take the punt on him, assuming the leg is the only thing that might be putting us off. Did it last year with Lever and it looks to have worked out pretty well.

Personally, I'm more interested to see who Carlton take at pick 1, since chances are he'll be making his way over to us sooner or later
