If Hibberd was that good. Why didnt he get drafted last year?

Jack of all trades. Master at none.
He had a knee injury the year before his draft year and a shoulder injury. He is a master at kicking, marking and running...

Got to be careful listening to some posters ? .....spreads rumors
Combine Kicking test

Mitchell Hibberd - 24 (out of a possible 30)
Nick Coughlan - 23
Darcy MacPherson - 22
Thomas Glen - 22
Matthew Allen - 22
Jade Gresham - 21
Nick O'Kearney - 21
Rhys Mathieson - 21
Declan Mountford - 21
Jordan Snadden - 21
Ben McKay - 21
Charlie Curnow - 21

Sure; Cockatoo won last year's kicking test though and he isn't the most consistent on the field.

I think a lot of people are over rating his kicking due to combine results.
Not me. I was harping on about his kicking before the combine. The posts are from July...
I rate him highly, but you never know he could go undrafted due to his height or some other issue I am not aware of, but I am pretty confident about him and Hibberd who is a beautiful kick.
Kind of half expecting Hibberd to be picked by the Suns. Has a big body, great kick, can play halfback, wing or midfield. Is kind the type of player we need.

I am Hibberd's biggest fan already so I am probably biased though :D What are you underrating his kicking based on?

I was also going to suggest Ryan Clarke, but in the footage I've seen, he seems to always want to handball, even when there are better options to kick to. Despite his pace, tackling pressure and goalkicking nous, it's a no from me.

Posting on Crows board, biggest fan of Hugh Greenwood... I think it's about time you switched to us :D

I also see you're a Hibberd fan :thumbsu: would you prefer to take him or Milera at 6?

Part 2 of the Darcy Tucker warts and all insight by the AFL draft hub...

Found it interesting that Adelaide was the only club that interviewed him twice at the Draft combine, looks like he's definitely on our radar when one of the questions at his 2nd interview included " whether I'd like to move to Adelaide?"....:)

At the combine, he had 11 scheduled chats with clubs, including two with Adelaide. The first interview with the Crows, on the opening night, was challenging. They pressed him about his season and explained what they thought didn't work. The Crows recruiters didn't smile a lot and had their questions ready to go. Tucker wasn't sure what to expect when they asked to see him again the next morning.

"I was going in a bit scared thinking they were going to be on to me again, but it was really good," Tucker says.

"In the first one they were trying to find out the question I can't answer, ‘Why didn't I play well this year?' I said I wasn't sure. I was trying. I did everything I could.

"The second interview was about different topics, and whether I'd like to move to Adelaide. They also had me to draw some game structures."

I would take him. We still need some outside pace. At pick 13 he is a bargain.

Preferred combination for me would be Francis and Tucker/Hibberd. Looking increasingly likely we'll get Tucker, going by that article. Would prefer Hibberd, but I'm fine with Tucker. He seems to have a bit of Seedsman about him except for being harder at the contest, though?

Carlton fans saying they don't want Boekhurst at 28.

Taken at 19...

There was a rumour about Silvagni, who was still with GWS at that draft, but knew he was going to Carlton, having a head in hands moment when that pick was called out. Supposedly had him listed as a potential rookie pick.

Is it a coincidence or is adelaide deliberately targeting 'leadership' types with its early picks?
