That is no dickheads, we can have one*
*Jaensch is a pisshead, there is a clear difference
Again we are talking about a first year player.. Look at his stats for last year he is a contested beast I am sure he is well aware of the areas he needs to improve which are goals and disposal efficiency. Ruckman generally take 3 to 4 years before they start to make an impact O'Brien made an impact in his first and pushed for selection. Is it really difficult to understand that the days of traditional back up ruckman are gone.
Sure they disappeared with the 3 man interchange and a sub rule BUT there was an insane amount od rotations that teams could have. That got eventually capped, then it got more capped.
So now we get 5 man interchange back but the rotation caps at an all time low. The end result is that players must either be able to play majority of the game and/or they need to be able to play multiple positions. Unless ROB all of a sudden can play magically play most of his game time as a key forward, he is not going to be spending 80% of the game on the bench and 20% on the ground.
removing the sub rule does NOT bring back the second ruckman in the game because the number of rotations have decreased significantly. Teams will not be playing 2 full time ruckman. The back up must be able to play as a key forward. The game has changed and it will continue to change.

Thought he would be great but didn't realise it was a navicular. Can be career ending, probably give him an SANFL season to see if he can get back.Anyone mentioned Cameron Giles as a possible rookie option?
Injured Navicular which obviously isn't good, and has played little in 2 years, but returned to the VFL late in the year.
Key defender at 195/93, SA boy, former pick 39 (2013) and...
Has a great YouTube video![]()

Everything is just opinion obviously but as far as Key backs I would not trade anyone of Talia, Lever or Hartigan for Lake or Frawley. Hey they both had great games in the grand final but that was surely largely to do with how West Coasts midfield was slaughtered and most times I watch Frawley I think vanilla. I don't understand the negativity about Hartigan at all. He is big, fast, fairly agile and is rapidly improving in how he contests and reads the play. Considering how little he has played at the top level I think he is a fantastic player for us going forward. It feels like it is just a group mentality thing when people put him down. I'm pretty sure that if we put him up for trade we would get lots of buyers.I don't know where to start with this.
Talia's elite and Lever could be anything but that's a bit rich at this stage. Lake's been a champion for a decade and Frawley, after dominating Tex, Pavlich and Kennedy in 3 consecutive knock out finals, deserves to be in the conservation with Talia and Rance as the best going around.
Rory Sloane is A Grade every second of the day. Thompson was great last season and has the fitness to back it up. Dougy does and keeps doing. Love him.
And Brodie Smith will be a star in the midfield this year. We didn't trade for midfielders to replace Danger because we already have his replacement. We traded for HB flankers to replace Smith.
i think he'll get drafted has been great the last cople of years, reminds me a bit of barlow.Any mature aged SANFL players worth a rookie selection? Matt Panos perhaps?
Assuming that injury has properly healed, he would be worth looking at as a rookie. Was highly rated as a junior.
Again the wrong type of player for this discussion.Again we are talking about a first year player.. With the large amount of academy players being rated so highly (top 20) in this year's draft, what are the chances that we will be calling an academy player's name with one of our first two picks?
Now that there is live bidding available and the strong possibility that at either pick 9 or pick 13 the best available player to select will be an academy player, it occurred to me that we might be calling one of these academy player's names. That will mean the team associated with the academy will need to either put their draft picks/points up to get their academy player or lose him to us. It seems to me to be a very likely scenario and then there's the possibility we might even call a second academy player's name after losing the first one. This is how it might go down for us at the draft before we actually call a player's name that we can keep.
This might not be the best move, either, because calling other player's names before the eventual player might give an indication that we didn't rate the eventual player we draft that highly, but I'm fairly certain that won't be a big enough factor to stop them from doing as such.
