Why did you need to quote someone else then and use their observations?

And then say "sounds like a great replacement for Dangerfield" if it's actually your own observations you're going from?

So, you're effectively saying that Skippos' observations are both 100% right and also 100% wrong at the same time. Doesn't make any sense.

Instead of questioning the views of myself .......how about expressing your opinion of the player IF you have one

Geesus i am getting mad  ......who the F....k suggests we pick Mathieson at #9

If this is Mathiesons HIGHLIGHTS ......would YOU pick him at #9

What possesses people ?

I couldn't watch the whole highlights package. He didn't have a clean possession. Hospital handballs, kicking out of bounds and scrappy kicks under pressure. No thanks.

Why is that exactly ? ....it was his opinion plus my eyes

Want another opinion then:

Sounds like a great replacement for Dangerfield  .......yeah pick Mathieson over Burton, Mackay, Bonner .......FFS i'd even prefer Tucker
1. Heres a more comprehensive profile from BFGN http://www.boundforglorynews.com.au/2015-draft-profile-rhys-mathieson/
2. In the games i've seen of him he has had more influence on the game then Parish when they play together.
3. If you want x-factor in an inside player in this draft your not going to find it. The closest thing to an excitement machine is either gone in the top-5 or in the second and third rounds. Dangerfield is once in a draft type of player and its going to be hard to replace him without trading into the top 5. As i see it we could have one A-Grade midfielder and the C-Grade or we a midfield filled with B-Graders. I know what i would take.

Cmon man ......try and speak the english language

I'm incredibly surprised with how heavily you invest yourself into this. You seem to be the opposite of the bloke who continually defends the selectors over playing out of form plodders.

And that's why we drafted 3 of them last year - Dear, McGovern and Ramsey.

We drafted 3 of them last year, which is why we drafting a KPF is not a priority in 2015.

It was lunacy who seemed to make the suggestion that we should be drafting a KPF in 2015 to give us "coverage" in 2016, not me.
No I wasn't saying a young kpf would provide coverage in 2016 I was saying we simply don't have adequate coverage and it is a need. I'm aware a young kpf will take time. I think that actually supports my point.

However I still want us to go best available with 1st round picks. But to suggest a KPF isn't a need was interesting.

Yes. You think he's average and only Lyons-quality. You highlighted a series of passages in Skippos draft profile to illustrate this point.

Yet the same draft profile that uses Jordan Lewis as its player comparison is apparently way off base.

Why were you quoting it (agreeing with it) if you disagreed with it?

At the moment it seems that you're disagreeing with yourself.

I haven't seen any draftees.

I do however query whether Jordan Lewis ever earned praise for his speed, athleticism, kicking as an U/18.

Thanks for the Mathieson profile .....found this part the most interesting ......and is supported by 2 separate profiles and what i've seen

I’ve found Mathieson is best suited to a free flowing running game. When the game is stangnant and full of stoppages, he seems to go with that flow and will just go for conservative kicks. He has the ability to break the game open with his dare and decision making, but he just hasn’t figured out how to play at a different pace when the game is slow. That’s a tricky thing to do, but often recruiters may see Mathieson as a ‘safe kick’ as they’ll often see heavily congested games. Teams may be reluctant to let Mathieson have a creative licence as he isn’t especially quick or a great kick, but for his own development, he needs to back himself in a bit more in these areas.

So you think a midfield of "B" graders will win us a premiership ......are you serious

I want from a number 9 pick someone with some standout attributes ......don't tell me Curnow, Oliver, Mackay, Burton or even Bonner don't have more weapons than Mathieson

Nah i disagree .....we'll get a good player at 9

And Oliver has "X" factor written all over him thanks

If you have anything of value to contribute .....we're all listening

Seems like you're the eternal fence sitter who has no opinions for fear of being wrong ......but then criticizes everyone elses opinions .......that's a safe position but contributes very little to discussions

Actually, I constantly disagree with selections and argue with guys like you who back them in because they're selectors. On this thread i have no idea, but came in to see if there's any agreed view as to who we're likely to take. And then I came across anti-waynesworld and its thrown me a bit. Carry on mate, I won't interrupt you any further.

Some just forgot to take their medicine.
Hence my Avatar .....meant to be taking it easy now up to draft ......obviously not working

Time to go back to the dark side ;)
