I've given up on Milera, think he'll be gone. But Francis does seem like he might slide due to his family attachment. Really hope we get him. Could join that elite line of Riverland => Westies => AFC guns that has been trodden by the likes of Modra, Ricciuto and Edwards.

On a side note, I know westies was given to port for father-son purposes, but I really hope we get their riverland zone when the academy zones are drawn up. We have tradition with it with 3 of our top 10 players hailing from that zone.

Has us taking Milera at 13 (with Francis slipping to Carlton at 14) and Ben McKay at 16.

Of other notable kids, Brett has Harry McKay going to Carlton at 11 (just before our first pick), Clayton Oliver to Gold Coast at Pick 8, Hibberd to North at 21 and Tucker to the Bulldogs at 24.

Pick 9: Versatile midfielder, leaning towards inside, with good foot skills

Pick 13: Tall forward to develop over the next 2-3 years, preferably in the Jenkins-class height

Not sure who'll be available at our picks, maybe an Oliver at Pick 9 and McKay at Pick 13.

I don't think Francis will slide to us, but if he does, obviously we grab him at Pick 9. In that case I'd grab a versatile midfielder with Pick 13.

Hibberd/Tucker/Burton, just a few examples... there'd be more too.

Would also definitely take Francis over Milera, but I wouldn't mind either.

I suspect we will get one, and only one, SA talent that isn't Bonner. If we get Oliver, we'll also get Burton. If we get Francis, I have a feeling we'll go Tucker/Hibberd to go with him. If we get Milera, I'm not sure who we'll go with for our second pick.

Regardless of either one of those I then like the look of Oliver or Gresham. Both have good pace and agility. Gresham with very good skills and nous. A bit small though.

hmm, i'd say there's a better chance Milera slips through to 16 in that scenario, as carlton will be looking for a predominately inside mid, Richmond may take Milera though but better chance they let him go then they would Francis. Who does he have Richmond taking?
