Yes. Pretty much. I've had a look back.
Thanks for looking back. It cuts out a lot of fighting, I wish more would do that.

My thoughts on what we will do if we can
Pick 9 H Mckay
Pick 13 Mitch hibberd
plan B If H McKay is gone before 9
Pick 9 Francis
Pick 13 Tucker
Happy with either outcome
Can't see us taking both Francis and hibberd as too similar in their roles
Don't think there is any interest in Burton for what it's worth
I definitely thought Lever would be gone by our pick. I always thought Laverde or Weller.I have to disagree with you on this. Lever was the #1 choice pick until the goal by Cockatoo appeared on the board and then a ot of people jumped on board his bandwagon. Peter Wright was considered but most doubted he would slide to us. Weller was an afterthought for most. In the end though it was still Lever. Most sensible people knew the KPP has more weight than a mid.![]()

Wouldn't be surprised with Francis and Hibberd - they can be our HBFers for the next 10 years. This means Smith can go into the midfield full-time. Both Francis and Hibberd can give versatility as well. Or do you have inside info which suggest we won't take them?Faith

I really don't think it is a particular need either, but if he's still there at our 2nd pick of course the club would consider it.I don't know about picking up an outside mid with our first pick. I know Milera is highly rated etc. but outside mids are about as hit and miss as rucks in my view.
Why not?!!, we haven't really had an elite one for years , smith the closest thing but he has settled at half back with potential to have more mid minutesI don't know about picking up an outside mid with our first pick. Yeah , I think it will be v close and closer to what people might thinkI think that Francis will be our number 1 target, McKay number 2 imo
He doesn't resemble hendo but he would replace hendowhat AFL player does Hibberd resemble?
Do you know if we're a sure chance to take Hibberd at this stage, or is it just BF talk?He doesn't resemble hendo but he would replace hendo
He is 190cm, takes contested marks , links well on the outside , kicks well and makes smart decisions
He could also be developed to play more inside as that part of his game is ok and that height would be handy in the guts
He's not as quick as hendo but his endurance is elite > 15 level beep which is top shelf
Think his height is what we may be after as a utility if we don't get Francis at 9
The doubt I have is the fact we traded for Seedsman and hamptonWouldn't be surprised with Francis and Hibberd - they can be our HBFers for the next 10 years. For the record, Francis and Hibberd is what I'm really hoping for.
Not sure of anything but reading between the lines think he is in the mix for pick 13 with quite a few othersDo you know if we're a sure chance to take Hibberd at this stage, or is it just BF talk?
Reckon Francis is a different type of half back - more an Easton Wood-style, for mine. He has the potential to develop into a Goddard-type, but I don't think he's quite that yet.The doubt I have is the fact we traded for Seedsman and hampton
From what I've seen of hampton he will struggle for running capacity to play full time wing / mid and I think he will settle at half back personally
Seedsman is a chance to play up the ground but once again think he is more comfortable at half back
Would mean we have at least 6 naturally suited half backs Jaensch, laird, smith, Seedsman, hampton , Francis, hibberd
Not even going to include hendo , VB or mckay in that list !!
West AdelaideSorry but getting angry hereReckon Francis is a different type of half back - more an Easton Wood-style, for mine. He has the potential to develop into a Goddard-type, but I don't think he's quite that yet.
No harm in adding them both, IMO, but you've got some points.
.......how can you simply throw the term "no harm to add them "into any draft conversation?

West AdelaideHe's not pure outside ......have a look at his tapes ...he's playing inside / out ......sure he's not an extractor, but neither was MacleodI don't know about picking up an outside mid with our first pick. This my prediction for the draft up until our second pick, excluding academy picks. In brackets is what I hope happens, in combination with each other or on their own would help us.
1. Carlton - Weitering
2. Brisbane - Schache
3. Melbourne - Parish (Curnow)
4. Essendon - Curnow (Parish)
5. Essendon - Francis (Weideman)
6. Gold Coast - Milera (Mathieson)
7. Melbourne - Weideman (Collins)
8. Carlton - Mckay
9. Adelaide - Oliver (Francis)
10. Carlton - Tucker/Mathieson
11. Richmond - Ah Chee
12. Adelaide - Burton (Milera)
Best available. I don't think we'll end up with 2 similar players at 9 & 13 anyway.Sorry but getting angry here.......how can you simply throw the term "no harm to add them "into any draft conversation?
Questions:
1. how many top 10 picks has the Crows had?
2. We've just loss the AFL's top 5 player .....an inside beast, and about to lose Thompson ....plus losing Wright ...that's a fair bit on inside class players being lost
And you see no harm in adding a couple of flankers to replace Henderson .......SERIOUSLY are you thinking about what your posting ?
Not just you but general thinking has no thought to team / list structures
Just added 2 half back flankers in the trade .....have Shaw and Otten fit again .....but hey lets recruit flankers with two VERY IMPORTANT draft picks ......what's the harm hey![]()
Maybe because Hibberd and Francis have the potential to turn into two absolute quality talents? Besides, you obviously don't know a heap about what they are capable of. Francis is not a flanker, he is a 3rd tall/intercept marking-type backman with the ability to go forward and kick goals, and possibly play in the guts. He is NOT a Seedsman/Hampton/Smith type. Hibberd is definitely a balanced HBF, but he has the potential to turn into a gun inside/outside, tall, contested marking mid (THIS is what we are lacking - balanced mids, not inside mids). Hibberd and Francis are two players that are definitely needs, but are also TALENTED footballers. Is there any harm in drafting talented players? I don't think so.Sorry but getting angry here.......how can you simply throw the term "no harm to add them "into any draft conversation?
