Exactly. They way I say it, there are no elite inside mids around our pick who also off a major point of difference. I think that we would be better off getting Milera + a KPF (and rookie a mature KPD), get a better look at CEY and Gore and then go hard at inside mids next years in trade/or draft.

And we may not need them then with crouch brothers Sloane gore and CEY

So many permutations. I think Carlton would love Weitering and McKay, Parish and Matheison. There a good chance of that quadrella. Feel like Curnow could slide all the way to Richmond or St. Kilda. Don't think Carlton are a lock to take him.

There's some good talent there and I don't know as much as many on here about the draft crop, but if we walk away without snaring one of Francis, Milera or H McKay I will be a bit disappointed.

One of Essendon's picks will be Weidemann. Looks like they psyched Melbourne out of taking him. So many mind games and misinformation this year.

Why does no one have GC taking a KPF? They lack in that area and just lost their best one to Port so maybe they will take Curnow or Mackay.

Sloane is a proven gun. No questions asked.
Brad Crouch has the potential to be the best player listed, but can't get out of the medical wards long enough to prove it.
Matt Crouch is good, but unlikely to ever be as good as the departing players.
CEY could be OK, but I certainly wouldn't bank on him becoming a gun player.
Gore is a completely unproven commodity. Could be anything - boom or bust.

Sloane is the only proven gun on that list and only Brad Crouch has the demonstrated potential to join him in the A-grade. We need more players with real potential to become genuine A-graders and right now those players simply don't exist on our team list.

I agree but interesting isn't it that all the experts have very similar phantom drafts. All 3 main ones have us getting Milera and Burton and GC taking Ah Chee and yet everything actually seems totally up in the air at the moment.

Yes double bluff - we need to establish unpredictability. If we were always hush-hush about who we're really keen on, then they'd be able to guess so.

Bonner is no chance at 13 (which will actually be pick 16-17). In fact, he's a huge chance to drop completely out of the first round.

We have enough for 2016 and can reasses end of next year when thommo retires

How sure are you that none of Ellis-Yolmen, Lyons, Gore, M Crouch, Grigg, Brown, Atkins, Laird or Wigg will become A-grade midfielders

But Vader, no team has a midfield full of guns.

Thommo / Sloane / Crouch Brothers / Smithers <EDIT> Dougy is one hell of a starting point for 2016 - add in Gore and CEY in there and that's pretty good.

We have a growing backline - Talia / Laird / Lever heading that up.
Our Half backs and wings have been bolstered with our new trade-ins.
Forward we are as strong as anyone.

With Jacobs feeding the mids, I don't see the need for such pessimism.

Pick the best talent available in the draft - get the big guys / talls through the Rookie draft.
