List Mgmt. Draft Watch 2015

I had 2 tickets for the draft but can no longer go. I'm logging in to Ticketmaster but it's saying that my tickets aren't there to print. Any ideas? If I can get them, does anybody want them? Should be able to email them.

Bonner is no chance at 13 (which will actually be pick 16-17). In fact, he's a huge chance to drop completely out of the first round.

Pick 9: Milera, H McKay or Curnow

Pick 13: Milera, H McKay, Curnow, Burton, Tucker, Collins or Balic

I will be absolutely stunned if anything outside of this happens.
Setting phasers.

We all have absolutely no idea do we :)

Whomever we get will be probably one gun and one above average with picks as low as 9 and 13.

I for one will back our recruiters, we seem to do pretty well in the draft in recent years - expect to see us all talking up whomever we get !!
That's the best statement all day .......we don't

But it's fun guessing ;)

Fox coverage starts at 5 PM here in Victoria with Sando, Michael Ablett and co kicking it off...4.30 PM in SA I guess?
Just a repeat of the 90 minute Combine show .....then going into the draft proper

I have absolutely no problem at all with us picking up a high quality outside mid, as well as a high quality inside mid. As I said, the likes of Hampton, Seedsman and Menzel all come with massive question marks over them. They may all turn out to be genuine guns, or they could be delisted after spending 2 years in the SANFL. Only time will tell. I would be very happy for us to land a player like Milera, as long as we also land a gun inside midfielder to go with him.
Seriously mate which gun inside midfielder do you have in mind as there are none there that sing out draft me in my eyes.

Bicks saying KPF main priority for crows in this draft
Yes we know that by our attempt to do a deal to get Schacke ......but there's really only 2 possibilities, McKay & Weideman

Curnow, Burton, Himmelberg are all 191-192cm ......are they KPP? .....wouldn't think so

Absolutely not going to ruin this day by listening to 5AA ......they can only go over the top and ruin my experience

Might bid on Academy boys Hipwood and Himmelberg if Harry's off the table...

How sure are you that none of Ellis-Yolmen, Lyons, Gore, M Crouch, Grigg, Brown, Atkins, Laird or Wigg will become A-grade midfielders
  • Grigg, Lyons and Crouch have had more than enough opportunities. Not going to happen for these players.
    • Crouch will be a very solid B-B+ grade player, but not A-grade.
    • Grigg will be delisted at the end of 2016.
    • Lyons is C-grade, and has no chance of getting remotely close to being A-grade.
  • Laird could well make the transition from defence to inside midfielder. Definite possibility - and he does have A-grade potential (which I wouldn't have said 12 months ago).
  • Brown doesn't appear capable of making the same transition - he's an excellent shutdown small defender and that seems to be his destiny.
  • CEY will be given opportunities this year, but I just don't see him ever becoming an A-grade player. After 4 years on the list he still hasn't consolidated himself in our best 22. A-graders don't take 4 years to find their way into the 22.
  • Atkins is more outside than inside.
  • That leaves Gore & Wigg, both of whom I regard as largely unknown quantities at this stage - but given that neither played an AFL game in their debut season, I doubt that they will turn out to be A-grade players. That's not to say they won't be successful AFL players, just not A-graders.

Have you looked at the mids now classed as "A grade" after only 2 years in the AFL system....seriously??

Don't think you'll find too many that were considered "A grade "after just 2years i.e, Gaz, Mitchell, Priddiss etc etc.

Way too soon to make a judgement call on M. Crouch.

Vader, how many A-Graders do you think are needed for an AFL midfield?

You my friend have not an ounce of sense. Please tell your credentials as I see nothing but foolish comments coming from you.

Please look through the history of all players for their pre 50 game history before commenting again. And for the record crouch Jnr will end up being one of the better mids that has played for this club before his career has ended...

He needs to replace his stylus.

But Vader, no team has a midfield full of guns.

Thommo / Sloane / Crouch Brothers / Smithers is one hell of a starting point for 2016 - add in Gore and CEY in there and that's pretty good.

We have a growing backline - Talia / Laird / Lever heading that up.
Our Half backs and wings have been bolstered with our new trade-ins.
Forward we are as strong as anyone.

With Jacobs feeding the mids, I don't see the need for such pessimism.

Pick the best talent available in the draft - get the big guys / talls through the Rookie draft.
No team has a midfield full of guns, but none of the top teams have fewer midfield guns than Adelaide. We currently have just 3 genuine A-grade midfielders on our list - Thompson, Sloane and Brad Crouch - and Crouch is perpetually injured. Smith is an A-grader, but hasn't spent much time in the midfield to date. The rest of them aren't A-graders and never will be.

** You should also factor in Douglas, who is a solid B+ player - but not A-grade.

Thompson/Sloane/Crouch/Crouch/CEY/Gore is not "pretty good", it's "pretty awful". It's a midfield that would have most opposition coaches licking their lips in anticipation, not shivering in terror.

As for our half-backs and wings, the new players all have massive question marks hanging over them. We may have massively improved our team, or added more dead wood. We really don't know at this point in time - and I'm not going to start counting my chickens before they've hatched.

We're strong up forward. Our 2nd KPD is the only real weakness in our defence. Jacobs is one of the best ruckmen in the competition. With Dangerfield gone, Thompson going, and Brad Crouch perpetually injured, our midfield is easily the weakest part of our team.

I'm hearing the Ah Chee to Gold Coast selection is very likely. Apparently he is considered top 3 talent by a number of clubs.

Hope it is true because it makes the chance of Milera getting to pick 9 much more likely.

I'd be very happy with Milera or Ah Chee and a key forward. The question is, outside of H McKay and Weideman, what other options would be reasonable at our picks?
