Our drafting record since Taylor's been in charge is near perfect.
He's been in charge for two drafts so far you are going stupidly early in claiming he's near perfect.

Curnow will slide now IMO. Remember Jack Darling? Clubs won't want this publicity and it's happened too close to the draft for it to blow over in time.
According to a recent article or two both St Kilda and Hawthorn said privately that they wouldn't have traded for Carlisle had they been aware of the Snapchat video and he has a lot more runs on the board than Curnow.
The question for me is just how far he slides.
Melbourne has a significantly better list than your utter joke of a team.Had to chuckle at this... Proven body of players? Only thing they've proven is an inability to lift themselves off the cellar floor for an extended period of time.
Don't count your chickens before they hatch...
Yet we embarrassed them last year at our lowest point?Melbourne has a significantly better list than your utter joke of a team.
They have built a solid albeit young midfield and drafted extremely well over the past few years. Their midfield bats deep, they seemingly have the best young forward in the land. This list is emerging.
I expect this team to routinely smash the arse out of Carlton for years to come, just as the other 16 teams will.

You're right, he won't drop past the Hawks, but he likely won't drop that far IMO.Surely Curnow doesn't get past the Hawks...
I think Carlton might be a very decent shot to get him now. He won't be the first one they take, so Weitering will be the big news story for them and overshadow the Curnow controversy and it will be much easier to sell to their supporter and sponsorship groups, as they already have Ed at their club and it sounds like he is well regarded. Could see them using their 3rd pick on him.Surely Curnow doesn't get past the Hawks...

Not a gold standard, just find it a bit rich that a Carlton fan is having a go at another clubs recruiting (which I think has been very good recently) when their club has made some of the worst decisions imaginable on and off the ground for the better part of a decade.Yet we embarrassed them last year at our lowest point?
We are obviously behind in our rebuild but when did Melbourne become the gold standard?
Yep they're one drink driving captain short of being Hawthorn & should be able to fill that deficiency in a couple of daysMelbourne has a significantly better list than your utter joke of a team.

Yep that makes sense. Base how much better your team is on 1 game in a season. So the Tigers are much better than the Hawks? Simple stuffYet we embarrassed them last year at our lowest point?

This.Probably isn't trying to avoide anyone. Just got pissed cause it's the end of school. That's it.

Unlike the blues. Now how many wooden spoons is that in the past 12 years?
Are you allowed to have any alcohol in your system when you're on your P's?Funny, isn't it. End of year 12, you can't blame these blokes for going out and having some fun. But insisting on driving and then refusing a breath test? It may have been a perfect storm; drinking all afternoon, just got his license, didn't know his limits, just a short drive. Or it may be indicative of his character and put plenty of clubs off.
In NSW you can't. Not sure about Victoria but I think the same rules apply. Are you allowed to have any alcohol in your system when you're on your P's?

He's 18....most likely he'd be on his P's where the BAC limit is Zero.Curnow must have been massively over the limit to refuse the test.
I'd like to join the wishful thinking brigade. Regardless of the reason - of which I think it's mainly due to a silly decision, then fear - it may cause him to slide to us at 8/11 now...This.
But it doesn't stop the tin foil hat brigade coming out in force.

If that is correct in Vic then this is a much worse incident than one like Hodge's, where he just didn't think he would be over the limit. He's 18....most likely he'd be on his P's where the BAC limit is Zero.
Or he was concerned about them testing him for something other than alcohol?
'Melbourne is aiming for finals next year"… i've heard it all now.
