Since all the clubs focus during trading was getting a tall defender, don't be surprised if we don't pick up a quick midfielder!

After all, we've needed pace in the midfield for years now, and who have we drafted?

Schammer, Dunn, Edgecumbe, Crowley etc, etc, not much pace there?

the swans didnt need pace and they won a GF?!

Right.

Team work and brains ......Swans
Pace is good ......eavles
Brains are good ........ Crows
injuries ............. Saints
unlucky ..............Cats

Therefore to win a flag you need

(a) Team work
(b) A good spread of pace
(c) Brains
(d) limited injuries
(E) A bit of luck

While the eavles had a bit (a) a lot (d) a fair bit (B) and huge amounts of (E)

Swans had a even spread of (a) to (E)

Good management can and should be able to influence A to C. Without E you get nowhere.

This year we lacked (a) too often. (B) We have enough of (C) We were unlucky with (d) We lost key players in 8 point games.
Brisbane proved you can win without (E).

E) we have no control over.

With Freo we have (F) F***en draw.

When planets (e) and (f) align with (a) to (d) we will win a GF.

Keep prayin.

Swallow is at the bottom of packs and quick as lightning. His questionable attribute is his kicking. His good attributes are his aggression and willingness to work hard. That means off the field and on the field. He is just what we need. He's a 183cm. Hopefully he can learn how to kick. There's a chance he may go at pick 9 to Brisbane.

If he goes by there's another kid, much more of a gamble called Oakley-Nicholls. If swallow is lightning this guy is light speed. You might recognise his name after he topped the results at draft camp over 20m. Apart from being super quick, he''s 186cm tall. He also has good skills. The negative about him is that he's pretty light. Would be a gamble i'd be willing to take, though the club may go the safer option with a Drum or likewise if Swallow is gone.

In Summary Swallow will make the grade at AFL level. He's a fast in and under player with good pace and could improve our clearance issues over the years to come. Nicholls is a football enigma, has height, skills, pace and a footy brain. Could be everything and could disappear without a wimper.

At lot will depend on who's drafted before us. THough i would draft Swallow before Nicholls.

I would take Swallow first. If his workrate is what everyone says it will be, than 100% I would take him first. He could only benifit being around the likes of Bell. A guy who shows you dont just need skill, you need hard work and determination. If he works as hard as people say, he will become a star and he will improve his kicking. He sounds more like what we need, but if we lost him to another club, I would take Oakley-Nicholls. Hes got height, speed and agility although lacks weight. Id back him to put it on. I wouldnt hold it as a concern if I was drafting him because I could see he would have huge potential to gain in all areas.

I realise your referring to someone, but im not sure who?

Yeah it was late and im probably way off but I thought that was how Judd was viewed. Someone who had almost everything but his kicking was questioned
