Round 3



A frustrating day at the Snow Dome where the Dragons were unable to kick a goal in the first and last quarters. An easy win for the Demons with the Dragons falling 8 goals off the mark. Mooresome and Blaze Storm were the Dragons best and Hatchy1992 , Ljp86 and AceAndy were all solid. It was agreed the strategy of kicking two points in the first and last quarters would be shelved.





Round 4



Close for three quarters but the Dragons fell away a little in the last to see the Roys come away with a 21 point victory. The Kingslayer’s early season form continued and AceAndy , Blaze Storm and Hatchy1992 all had impressive statistics.

From this season the award for the leading goalkicker at the Dragons will be named after season 27 captain and legendary goal kicker PhenomenalV1



This season the Dragons played 16 home and away matches and 4 finals and the race for the Phenomenalv1 medal came down to the players who spent time at Full Forward this season , gym4life and Ljp86.

Gym4life had a remarkably consistent season in the forward line kicking at least a goal in every match of the season and after 20 games had a haul of 40 goals.

The winner of this season’s Phenom medal is the SFA’s games record holder and Dragons legend Ljp86 who was able kick 57 goals after moving to Full Forward in Round 8. Ljp dominated the finals kicking 20 goals in the final series.



Congratulation Ljp86 on being the inaugural PhenomenalV1 medallist.

In my career I've rarely been on the winning side against the Demons. Definitely a fordible opponent. Very happy with our win a few short days ago.

Round 5


A stunning turnaround with the Dragons out of the blocks quickly and built up a 10 goal lead going into the last quarter. A really great team effort with a lot of contributors and surprisingly with a team total of 17 goals no player kicked more than 2. Two rookies in Davo-27 and Dr Mantis Taboggan were clearly best and Knifey Spoony and Hatchy1992 also impressive.





Round 6



After an even first quarter the accurate Wonders were able to kick away for an easy 8 goal win. Dr Mantis Taboggan had an outstanding game on the wing with 30+ possessions and 3 goals for a truly amazing 133 DT points. Gym4life, Mooresome and Knifey Spoony were all very solid contributors in what was a disappointing day.

Round 7



A truly lamentable effort as the Dragons recorded an equal low SFA score of 2.2(14). Best to move on from here.





Round 8



Huge selection move with 400 + game player ljp86 answering the call to move to Full Forward. This move paid immediate dividends with Ljp booting 4 goals to steer the Dragons to a five goal win. In muddy conditions The Kingslayer, Pea Nut, Knifey Spoony and Hatchy1992 were all able to overcome the conditions.

This season we have been truly fortunate as a club we have had three fantastic rookies joining at the start of the season and each have been great contributors to the Dragons in season 28.

However my encouragement award for this season goes to a rookie who joined us in round 12 and was an absolute breath of fresh air , a dedicated trainer and first class giffer Coach McGraw’s encouragement award goes to sean the sheep Strigoi .



Congratulations strigoi and looking forward to you being part of a Dragons back to back premiership in season 29.

Round 9



The Dragons led by Hall Of Famers Ljp86 and Pie 4 Life , who kicked 9 goals between them, jumped the Hawks early and built up a 5 goal lead going into the long break. The pesky Hawks did not give in and finished the match only 13 points behind. In addition to the HoFs Dragons skipper AceAndy took the 3 Mobbs votes and SaltPeter and Daniel1812 had their best games for the season.





Round 10



After three failed attempts the Dragons finally lift the Hilly Pie 4 Life cup. In what was a close contest for 3 quarters the Dragons put the foot on the gas and booted 7 goals in a dominating final quarter. Pie 4 Life and Cammo6556 both starred with 4 goals each and Cold Sober and Dr Mantis Taboggan were in great touch.

Really need to think of a good name for the best clubman medal so if anyone has any ideas let me know.

The season 28 award for the player that has supported team mates all season, been unflinching in their support for the Dragons and just been great to have around the club has been awarded to two players.

Congratulations to both Cold Sober and Knifey Spoony the season 28 best clubmen.
