A Melbourne Final.. in one of two venues that we call 'home'. Close enough to a home final imho.

This season has been crap 80% of the time.. but then that 20% has been so unbelievably awesome.. that you just can't help but dream about this list doing something massive.

Our mental application seems to be the only thing holding us back.. and our skills at times. If we can bring the right mindset and some fresh legs.. then Round 1 could be a good indication of what we will do to the marshmallows.

I understand that TBell released Ryder into the forward line.. but he was poor imho. Far better to let Daniher give Ryder a chop out than waste a spot with a guy that (perhaps due to injury) is too slow and one dimensional. Made the whole side look very very slow when he was down forward.. and was soundly beaten in the ruck. Hopefully a big preseason will see TBell get back to his form of last year.

Watson, Heppell, Stanton and Goddard should be very well rested.. they went at near 50% pace for most of that game.

After 2 and a half qtrs of rubbish, we get to play a final in Melbourne, and keep the Carlton faithful believing over another pre-season. I guess thats not to bad.

F*&king lucky we only play North next week. Don't think we'll win, but less likely to get a good old fashioned belting.

North have only played on the G about 3 times this year, that was our 8th game there this year. It is for all intents and purposes a home final

So whats that... 6 or 7 times this year there have been 30 point turnarounds in our games. Pretty much highlights the pea hearted mentatility of this list.

The funny thing is mentally challenged teams can focus on a particular game and fool the world. Thats what I expect next week as I think we'll beat North and everybody will forget reality until the week after.

Instead of killing the game and easing it in in the last we need to play desperate football and the inevitable loss of a soldier occurs.

Be happy we are playing finals considering it was taken away from us last year. It was an amazing game of Aussie rules and that is what makes this
sport amazing.
