Just had a look at your scores:
Round 1 Score: 1850
Round 2 Score: 1950
Round 3 Score: 1831
Round 4 Score: 1725

Wow - brilliant stuff. The 1725 will hurt, but geez you must've been high on the leaders list after week 3.

I like Malceski, I was trying to decide whether to grab him or not, myself.
This week I think the bargains include:

James Hird @ $323,900
Campbell Brown @ $269,800
Nick Malceski @ $100,600
Cheyne Stiller @ $66,500
Jayden Attard @ $79,000
and maybe Peter Everitt @ $328,800 (in that order but depending on what your goals are).

Good list. I think Matthew Lappin and Simon Black can also be added to the undervalued list. Both should drop again this week though. I really wanna bring in Campbell Brown this week but can't afford it. Others i'm keeping an eye on their price are Akermanis, Everitt, Jason Johnson and Jess Sinclair.

Houlihan will consistently score 80+, Simon Black if you are looking for a bit of a risk but will save you money and can score huge. haselby if he beats this injury, Ryan lonie even if u wanna keep $$$$

Sitting just a few places ahead of you stkildonan.. so dunno if you really wanna help. But what colour would brendad goddard be in if he was in ur side?

Dont know if its really worth losing a trade getting rid of him?

Goddard has been OK for DT 229 pts in 3 weeks.

He'd be black (undecided - probable keeper).

Who would you reccommend as a quality third midfielder under 336k?

I reckon Adam Simpson is undervalued, but there are so many midfielders that many have a claim that are significantly under that price.

I am guessing here

Shaun McManus can be a el cheapo at $277,500. he hasn't been terrible.
Corey Enright ($326,200) has been doing alright as well while Ben Johnson ($316,600) has been quite consistent.

I had no emergency for Hamill's absence and didn't have a great score anyway. I expect to fall back a bit this week.

Bad luck dude, the zero from Hamill obviously hurt.

What moves you thinking of making this week?

I think Lappin is almost a must at his current price. I'm debating who to trade away to get him. Here are my choices:

-M.Johnson and use up 20k from bank.

-Carrazzo then get spare 30k from trade.

What do you reckon? Leaning towards Johnson.

Will prob also trade Harding for Symes. Need to do something about SKipper his last 2 weeks have been shocking. Would love to somehow find 150k to get Everitt in. Dont see how I can do that though.

I needed to address the problem in my forwards. I had no playing emergencies to replace Hamill. I hope he returns next week but needed to cover for him. I upgraded Motlop to Jamie Graham who looks promising, and I rebought Murray.

This is one of the reasons I have been posting these changes, so that posters here can see my thought processes and learn why I make my decisions. More significantly, you can learn from my mistakes.
I have traded Murray away then rebought him, effectively wasting 2 trades to do so. Also the sale of Thomas for Motlop was poor, a waste of a trade for little benefit or none.

I have now used up 8 of my 20 trades and must look to conserve them now (12 trades with 17 weeks remaining). The early burst of trading was deliberate in order to upgrade my squad early, but it has been poorly executed.

I hope you have been better at it.

I've got a heaps better score this week, interestingly with a very different mix of performers. However, still lost to my opponent.

Marc Murphy 100
Paul Chapman 111
Matthew Pavlich 130
Adem Yze 104
Dominic Cassisi 101

were my top performers. I don't expect Pavlich, Murphy, Yze and Cassisi to do that well next week, however, the other regulars have a down game and should step up.

With another 63K left in the drawer, I am up for 1 final attempt at improvement after which I start saving my trades for injuries.

M Johnson would be the way to go, Carrazzo cost 2 trades to get Black (unless you want to address both Backs and centres at same time)

PS Symes has had an appendectomy and will be out for at least 2 weeks

Leaning towards not making any trades this week. I'd love to bring in Lappin but i've already used up 8 trades so far and I can't justify burning another trade to bring in Lappin. My current backline is reasonably solid:

Hodge
Bowden
S.Burgoyne
Goddard
Carrazzo
Campbell Brown
M.Johnson

Like I said, i'd love to bring in Lappin, especially at his current price, but I have other areas of my team that need upgrading A LOT more than my backline does.

I have to get rid of Skipper ASAP, he's a cancer on my scores. Problem is I only want to trade him to either Everitt or Lade, which means I need to find 130k from somewhere. Since it's virtually impossible to do that this week I'm forced to sit tight and wait for another week till my cash cows rise a bit more. I'm hoping to upgrade Thomas to B.Johnson soon, or possibly Tredrea if his price falls enough.

I like the look of Beau McDonald, and get a cash bonus from Skipper who has been troublesome
Couldn't resist the temptation to cash in on Matthew Bate ridding myself of (another) troublesome Watts
Might get rid of Johncook and grab Dean Polo next week. I might upgrade Gram too.
Will have to go into my shell after that, but still have a bit of work to do.

Your backs look great. Bit unlucky that Gilbee hasnt performed nearly as well as he did last season.

Your centres as a group isnt bad, got some good value cheapies.

Ruck look good, not sure about Beau though, dont think hes starting material.

I think your forward line could do with a bit of work. Starting all three of Thomas, Mahoney and Bate is v.risky.

How much money you got in the bank? How many trades left? Hopefully a lot of each. Id be inclined to move either Murphy or Symes into your startin 22 and then trade Montanga or Murphy for a cheapie like Swallow. The spare cash can then be used to upgrade guys like Beau, Mahoney etc.

Excellent advice footylover.

Your backs are first rate.
Your centres are good without being outstanding.
Ball will only get better, Dal Santo is a soda, so of the remaining four players, you should select one or two to cash in on (buying cheapies like Swallow, Stiller, etc) to cash up for your forwards.
Your Rucks are fine
Your forwards need work.
Aim at getting yourself at least one of Pavlich, Hall or Brown.
Tredrea will come good eventually too, but maybe hold off a week or two for him to bottom out on price - maybe wait until he gets a ton then pounce.
You may have to waste a trade to get rid of Setanta because he may not get another run, thats up to you, but it restricts your options if you have an injury.

OK guys, here's a challenge for you! This is my first crack at DT, probably obvious. Let mw save you the trouble - yes there is somecrap here & yes, it is Saints heavy. Anything constructive is most welcomed. Cheers!

I have $7k in bank. 11 trades remaining. 2 available this week.

Doesn't affect me that much, I got him about 80k under his starting price.

I could've done better at the start wth my centres. (this is my first go at DT). At the start I packed it full of superstars and 300k+ players (Dal Santo, Ball etc..). It was dumb to trade for Montagna, as guys like Murphy and Salopek will score about the same each week. So I've ended up making a few trades, and I've got Dal Santo as my star of the centre, Gram as a solid 80-90 point player, and Murphy abd Salopek who should consistently score around the high 70's, early 80's.

Ruck look good, not sure about Beau though, dont think hes starting material.

The rucks looked alot better when Skipper was going well.

Agree. Each of those players are prone to having quiet 50-60 point weeks, but make their average look good with a few 90-100 point games. Would like to get Pavlich in, but limited trades and money made it very hard.

I've only got 7 trades left, and about 17k in the bank, so from now on, I can't really afford to upgrade much. Will probably need 3-4 trades for injuries/major form slumps.
