Have not noticed Dunn in the EF best players for the last 4-5 games.

I think he is playing regularly, where is he at? being injured for most of the last 2 yrs has it passed him by?

Passed him by my friend.

He is basically an average WAFL footballer.

Why such the negativity tonight , Chris?

Perhaps realistic thoughts.
I am prepared to give the guy another season...Though if we were offered a 2nd round or 3rd round pick for him...It would have to be seriously considered.

I was at a function last night where a question was asked about Dunn to Chris Connolly and his answer was along the lines that Ryley has only just got his body/fitness to where it needs to be due to a shocking run of injuries. He remarked that the challenge is now in front of him to get his footy/performance to level it needs to be in order to be considered.

I was watching the EF vs EP game on the weekend.
Dunn seems play much like cook & macca, every tackle he laid was hard & I don't think anyone broke away from him. I was disappointed with his intensity & when put on to the half back line wasn't very defensive. Many times for example he would try contesting for a mark when two of his team mates were already spoiling the contest, ball goes to ground and his opponent would get a crucial position.
He played all over the place, appeared most comfortable in the middle, rather ineffective up forward, & didn't pay enough respect to his opponent when down back.
If what CC says is true then there is plenty of up side to his game, he was quite good in the contest, perhaps needs to position himself better & lift his intensity.
I think we have a ready made replacement for cook & or Macca, should either of them retire in the near future.

NO negativity Ripper just asking a question.

If he is a midfielder then he will be down the pecking order ie second chance, Bomber, Drum,Happy, webster & browne must be in front of him.

Well the backline has players queuing up. The fowardline is working nicely

So at 21 is he just now a depth player due to a bad run with injuries?

Sorry , the thread title appeared to be a snipe to me. I stand corrected.

Without doubt at this stage.

Good isn't it?

At the moment He is . He has missed a heap of footy (best part of a season) and would have lost a lot of fitness due to injury.

It has taken Luke Webster the best part of two years to hit his straps again properly after his last knee.

I think it's a bit early to be writing him off just yet. You never know what can happen or who can drop off or step up. Who would have ever believed that we would be playing the best footy we've ever played without Hasleby in the team? It was only a matter of 6 months ago that he was the barometer of our team - now we would be struggling to find a spot for him if he can get fit. Be patient - the club seem to know what they are doing with the young guys (Mundy, Crowley, Peake, Johnson etc).
