Apparently wants a trade back to Victotia. 191cm - not overly fast but good decision making and endurance. Would reckon at least a 2nd rounder.

What offer ye?

Would rather he stayed, think he could be a good player for us in the future

Has a bit of potential but since he hasn't actually done too much at AFL level, and since he was a pretty late pick in the first place, I can't see him being worth much or many clubs being interested.

He should be happy to have a contract at Fremantle.

I'd take him at Hawthorn. The kid is hard at it and a good size, plus he makes good decisions. I would give up our 3rd round pick but only if we didn't get the current targets we are after

Interesting, who do you think the Hawks are chasing?
Josh Toy is one we are definitely interested in. Also know that we are extremely interested in trying to get a mini-draft pick, whether we can make it work or not is another thing. We would have to trade a lot before hand to produce something that GWS would want. So i think that would put a hault to any move for Roberton

I just can't see a second-rounder being changed for him. Maybe an early third rounder, but sides are loath to lose their second-best shot at a player in a good draft. Could imagine him perhaps working out at a Richmond? Richmond strikes me as being a good fit because they have plenty of silky skilled players coming through the middle and could do with a younger big-bodied midfield enforcer (Martin aside).

Geez a 2nd rounder is made to sound like a great pick. It's somewhere between pick 20 and 40. Not that big of an ask.
That's not true if cards are played correctly in draft/player development. Just from Geelong alone, Bartel, Ling, Chapman, Wojcinski, Duncan, Christensen, Vardy and Stevie J were all in that pick range.

We've got Fyfe, Ballantyne, Clarke, Ibbotson, Mayne

But we've also got:

Pitt, Houghton, Clayton Hinkley, Clayton Collard, Adam Campbell

The range between 20 and 40 is generally hit and miss. Roberton falls closer to the 1st group than the 2nd.
