Two debutants this year for GWS, fair to say both are gonna be very good players of the future. This season both players have played 12 games and stats are fairly similar.

Who is the better player? Who will be the better player? If could pick one to come to your club, who would it be?

From what I've seen, I'd go with Shiel marginally.

Both, they both are equal in my opinion.
Stars of the future.
1 week Coniglio, next week Shiel and thats how their careers together may go.

I will vote Coniglio to even it up.

They both are very similair, and put out alot of effort each week. But the person who I think is the better player is Coniglio.

Coniglio by a fair margin at this point, only because he can kick the ball. Shiel has some of the worst kicking skills I've seen come through in a while. Hopefully it was just the pressure of being a first year and we'll see it improve in the future.

Coniglio.

Statistically similar but Coniglio does things just that bit better. That extra natural polish and flair.

Better balance, slips through traffic so well, neater skills by foot and can be an exceptionally smart user of the ball. He is a little bit Simon Black, a little bit Harley Bennell. Inside grunt with the odd smooth move, slick skills and just a touch of panache.

Coniglio. Has much better footskills. Both will demand huge pay rises soon too :D

Can't see why anyone would chose a forward pocket player over a freakishly talented midfielder. At this stage of their careers, and at every other stage, Coniglio

Coniglio SO FAR. Shiel entered 2012 quite underdone and has had his injury issues.

Close friend of mine who works at AFLPA and is a prominent draft scout said that Shiel is highly likely to be the next "great" player of our time i.e. to follow the footsteps of guys like Leigh Matthews, Greg Williams etc.

Will be interesting to see how his career pans out in the short-term. I can definitely see him making an impact next season - looks ready made.

Give Shiel time, he'll be the best of the young midfield crop GWS has at their disposal. Although I hate using the term 'footy brain', it applies to Shiel in the same way it does Cotchin.
